XP Table or Explanation for Games/Ships

Can someone either explain to me or point to me to the basis or mathematics behind calculating XP for each ship type and the such?

Ship XP is based on average XP earning combined with how long WG executives want a grind to last in order to try and find the ideal compromise between time played, player retention, player investment and earning potential.

If you are referring to exp earned in game:

Basically exp and credits are earned based on, and only on the following:
1. Percentage damage of HP of the enemy ship(s)
Explain: Doing damage to a BB and completed killed him, did say 70,000 damage, is equal to doing damage to a same tier DD also completely kill him, did say 10,000 damage. (Only percentage matters, not absolute damage number)
2. Planes shot down
3. Base capture points earned
4. Enemy capture points reset
5. Enemy capture points prevented

The higher the tier, the higher the reward.

nobody really knows...% damage done to enemies is the base along with bonuses for kills, damaging higher tiers and capping, then flags and premium etc (and more i didnt think of). 

 

most of the bonuses are known, not the crucial damage multipliers though, each ship would probably be different.

I think they consulted a magic 8 ball and then rolled 3 D&D Dice and spat into the wind to find these numbers

Doesn't movement come into play, the amount of distance traveled?
