Why is the update 11.2GB

There is no way they needed to update nearly every single file for this patch.  This after few patches ago claiming they had addressed this issue and updates would be smaller in the future, when every patch is larger than the one that preceded it.  It's like every patch is clean install these days.

 

No question they need a full install option but we should be getting update patches for those of us who don't need the full install.

And older BB models were overhauled as well. Lots to replace.

Restart your launcher, I did a thread about this and its a BUG. Restart it and it SHOULD say 1763.5 MB's.

It is an error... and on reset you will see the 1.7 G actual size....

Unit they fix it I'm sure there will be.

 

Also it doesn't change the fact that I had already don't loaded 6gb of game.  So it wasn't that it was just reporting 11gb when it only required 1.7gb it was going to download the full 11.2Gb if I didn't make a change.

 

At any rate thanks for the info I hope it saves others who read the thread some time and bandwidth.

edit: apparently Niko didn't put that part in the forum patch notes.. but it was on the news article on the main page.

They're in the patch, they're now in the client, but no, we don't get to play with the new shinies yet. This is the production test patch for Supertesters to run them out and test them in a real game setting. We get them next patch... And I'd guess that would be in about 2 weeks (barring no major hiccups) if history is any indicator.
