Update is huge! 7/27/2016

Anyone knows WHY this update is 11219.0 MB's!?! Why 11.2 Gigs?! is there something that big for this update that's in it? My only guess is the German BB's and the line of it however, (of course I know) its only for ST's. So in the end, if THAT'S why its making this update huge, then its pointless to have that many gigs bcuz we can't play them just yet. I see it reasonable for ST's to have this many gigs but for us NON ST's, no.

 

 

Re-Edit: Never mind, its a bug. Restart your launcher and then it'll show the 1763.5 MB's as that is the real amount this update is.

I would assume that  they have to upload it all into our computers because testers will be playing those ships in live games and so we have to have the files.

Wouldnt both us non ST's and the ST's be required to download all the files for the new BB's? Otherwise how would the non ST's be able to see the model in game if we came across one? 

Either way, kinda annoyed about the massive size, my internet is gonna suffer with this

Maybe a typo on the launcher's end?

Well technically its really just 11.2 GB's bcuz the 3rd number is within the hundreds, so that makes it 219 MB's as in 11.2 GB's.

i'm not updating til AFTER the maintenance.... people who update early usually end up having to reinstall... it is known

I'd recommend that everyone should close the launcher and reopen it. Im currently seeing this size now. As you can see, definitely not 11GB

Maybe theY screwed something up and we're redownloading things that we already have? Cause I'm getting the 11,219mb patch as well. Though I'm 40% done downloading it so far.

 

Edit: Just paused it and tried to start the DL and it's giving me "The service is currently unavailable. We are working on it. Please try again later." Lol so they really did screw it up somehow.

 

Edit 2: It just restarted itself. 1,763.5mb patch now.

That's gotta be a bug. 11 Gigs is basically redownloading the whole game again.
