I'm guessing that's the intention, however, CVs also get lower exp for the same damage, rough guess it's about 75-80% of what other classes get. Previously, that would have compensated for the fact that CVs outdamaged even same tier BBs by a significant margin. However, between AA buffs and direct CV nerfs, CV damage has been brought down to something halfway reasonable. between that reduced damage without a corresponding spike in survival rates (which would have made CVs even more ridiculous), high tier CVs are probably feeling the credits crunch more than any other class.

I don't think I've ever lost money playing a CV.
