Before I go any further I have to say that I liked it allot. Of course I have my nitpicks, but overall very good. And VERY action packed! Now then, on to my hypothesis..... I believe the next movie (which has officially been confirmed) will feature an Excelsior class, and possibly even the Enterprise B. Why? Because, there is a scene in the movie (dont worry, I promised no spoilers and this is not a big spoiler) where Kirk and the Commodore are having a conversation. During this conversation Kirk volunteers the Enterprise for a rescue mission, the Commodore responds with something along the lines of "Well, the Enterprise is currently the most advanced ship in Star Fleet as the only ship we have that is more advanced has not yet been completed". Again, that's a lose quote, but you get the point. What could be more advanced than a Constitution class? Well yes, the Vengeance is more advanced but I doubt Start Fleet is building another one. Especially because Vengeance was built soley for combat, and Star Fleet doesnt build combat ships (at least not until Defiant). The answer is the Excelsior class! Anyways this is just dseehafer breaking out the old tinfoil hat again.... but I have my reasons and suspicions. Also the Enterprise Refit which is revealed at the end of the movie is is ugly as all [edited]. (I said no spoilers, we see the Enterprise get more or less destroyed in the movie trailers and the refit was shown in a recent magazine. I spoiled nothing) So I'd be more than happy to get an Enterprise B. Enterprise B, Excelsior class As long as were talking about the next movie..... How are they going to kill off Chekhov? Or are they just going to get a different actor? Also, RIP Anton Can we finally get a movie with Klingons as the main bad guys??? I mean, In to Darkness told us that "War with the Klingons is inevitable" In all honesty Star Trek Beyond should have been about the war with the Klingons. I dont know why they keep putting it off. Guest Guest 0 posts Report post #7 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) I looked at a few Pictures, and found these to be fairly reasonable designed for a JJ-based B, and C Enterprise. What do you think? I find them to be quite nice actually, since they are quite sleek. Edited July 23, 2016 by Imperium_Titan_Roma

The B and C deserve their time in the spotlight.

Indeed, they were both beautiful designs back in the day , and I would love to see them represented in the JJ-Verse soon~!

I'd really love to see a Kelvin Timeline movie with the Enterprise C (or something like it) that was actually planned, but because of deadlines and stuff, never actually used, of course it'd be "JJ-ified"

2,361 WanderingGhost Alpha Tester 5,281 posts 12,191 battles Report post #14 Posted July 23, 2016 You mean a new Star Trek movie. They were basically the main villain of 3. That said, I'd think they'd simply say that maybe he was transferred or retired from Starfleet. No muss, no fuss, just do it better than how they did it with nightcrawler in X-3. It's the studio's call, but those are what I'd go with. More often than not I feel recasting doesn't usually work. You have to try and get someone that looks the same, can duplicate mannerisms and all the other actor had or gave the character. Sure I think there are a couple good ones out there but usually, Dark Knight, IronMan 2 (nothing against Don Cheadle, I liked Terrance Howard more and it's a pretty drastic change), Harvey Dent in Batman Forever (much as I kinda like Jones portrayal first reaction was "wait what?"), it can just be jarring and take you out of the movie. Find a way to just acknowledge the character is still alive and well in the universe, and in time, because I doubt they'll stop at 4 unless forced, wait till it's less recent, the characters have aged a bit, so you can bring in someone thats close enough and the difference can be explained by the fact he's that much older now. She didnt say newer, she said "more advanced". (the commodore is a 'she' BTW) A Miranda is not more advanced than a Constitution and the Constitution A subclass is what the Enterprise becomes at the end of the movie after her rebuild. Also, as long as were talking about JJ Mirandas Edited July 23, 2016 by dseehafer

Also, as long as were talking about JJ Mirandas In the first movie, when they all warp to Vulcan, most of the warp nacelles on the other ships look really boring, just a grey cylinder, some of those look somewhat similar to the Miranda. Say what you will about the JJprise, but at least it bloody looks like a federation ship! I don't mind the design itself that much (though it's definitely not my favourite) but what really bothers me is how different it is from the TOS design style. I'm fine with a pre-federation ship like the NX-01 not being in TOS style, but isn't NCC-1031 going to place it in the middle of TOS times?
