First off, this absolutely flabbergasted me. I didn't know that people even called other people "yellow," since at least...the 50s...

 

Story: Enemy has all 3 caps and is truly pushing my team back. They have all their gunboats at B on Fault Line. We've lost a DD at one of the other caps, and one cruiser somewhere. I've been playing peak-a-bo with the Enemy Blys, Mahan, and both Farraguts using the islands north of B. I went in and tried to cap, got chased out, several times. One of our Kongos decides that sailing down one of the channels is a good idea to do - and yes, I open my mouth as the predictable result happens and one of the Farraguts does a drive-by, leaves him at a few hundred health and then someone finishes him off from a distance.

 

Then, the smack talk begins.

 

 

Anyway, get yer' chuckle here and read the smack-talk from two dead players while I watched my team kill-secure their way to victory. And remember, even if you hate your teammates and wish to throw the game - its still your civic duty to the rest of the gamers that play the game, to do your best and carry the YOLO'ing bad players to victory, even the crap-talkers - and yes, everyone else is going to kill-steal/secure away from you.

I think he looked up my stats....thats the only reason I can think he used the word Yellow (since players who survive the longest, usually hide the most...)

 

Of course, he could just be referring to yellow taters, which are commonly ....yellow...

Calling someone yellow is slang for calling someone a coward.

I only pay attention to the chat box when there are positive things.  Tonight I played one of the most enjoyable games I have played in Random because 3 of us worked together and we won the game.  The other nine players seemed to play MIA.  We talked back and forth and communicated our intentions to each other.  When it goes negative I could very easily stick a post it on the monitor over the chat box.  

 

Most likely the majority of those were 12 year olds who have a lot to learn not just in on line gaming.

Half the time I play my Izumo people cuss me out for staying in the back and "being useless". Telling them I've done 90-100k damage in the past 10 minutes usually shuts them up though.

They yolo'd to their deaths and decided to trash talk Aether, then scoreboard shows neither of them came close to matching Aether's performance.

 

I've run into the same where idiots trash me and then they're speechless seeing I outdid them.

 

Believe, those wimps are laughably easy to outdo save if you get Detonated or 1-salvo'd early in the match.
