00:50 Arms Race and Maps

14:45 Destroyers

40:44 Cruisers

58:43 Battleships

01:15:05 Carriers

Hi listeners! Welcome to episode #115 for the Warships Podcast! In this weeks episode for the podcast we have plenty of Zoup this time, and yes even for you. Who returned once again to help us discuss bigger topics coming up with the new Ranked Season. The show goes over each category of ships, but slightly different than in the past. The show breaks down each category by nation at a time.

We start first with an analysis and explanation of the Arms Race mode. Going over how this mode works and what players should expect compared to the normal cap fest of the previous Full Ranked Season modes. Beginning with Destroyers, the cast and crew go over each destroyer by nation and state their play ability for average or experienced players to advanced players. This is repeated for each other category going over Cruisers next, then Battleships and a follow up discussion about Carriers. This is a rather lengthy and passionate discussion on all these ships involved and we hope everyone enjoys this debate.

Thank you to everyone who listens and supports this show. Thank you to our Patreons and to the Warships Community and we especially love hearing from you and seeing you in game. The crew very much looks forward to seeing you next Warships Podcast!

Here is an idea for AA: Pull back ship AA, increase plane recovery rate, and then tie plane recovery rate to plane HP. This will make the emphasis less on killing planes and will increase the value of just damaging them (which right now doesn't mean much). If a plane is destroyed, it gets the full recovery timer at the CV. However, if a plane comes back damaged they need time to repair so there is another penalty. Thus killing planes is great, but just damaging them also has significance. Because right now it feels like it is all or nothing, just damaging planes is meaningless but apparently balancing between killing some of a squadron and slaughtering the whole thing is a very fine point of balance so instead focus on making plane damage meaningful so that the emphasis on plane kills isn't everything.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the podcast.

I like the balance of fun banter and serious analysis. You dont walk in lockstep with each other, and I really like how you can amiably disagree, accepting that a lot depends on personal playstyle and preferences. I also like that you occasionally discuss the opinions of others outside the podcast (Notser, et al).

Nice work, and never dull or stale.
