I just became pink about two hours ago and it days I had to play something like 4-5 games with little team damage done in order for it to go away.

It's probs because most understand how borked the TK system is.
2,556 [GWG] AVR_Project Members 8,019 posts 15,964 battles Report post #5 Posted July 17, 2016 From what I've heard, and experienced in my own one pink experience, there is a lot of RNG involved. Shots disperse VERY far off center, and the TK victim detonates. Myself, I TK's a Marblehead with two HE Kongo shells for 17,500HP. The two shells dropped far short of the target. Others who are VERY careful are shocked, surprised, and depressed that they did this for the first time in their lives. ... I'm thinking they are programming this in like a Detonation, and making it happen to everyone so often. ... And I've come close to being TK'd. Had a friendly torpedo do a 15 degree turn towards me. I went full reverse but the damned thing followed me. I had det flags on so it didn't kill me.
28 [WFR] Dratt_Dastardly [WFR] Beta Testers 252 posts 4,656 battles Report post #6 Posted July 17, 2016 I'm WoT, it's harder to be marked as a TK. You actually need to do a fair amount of damage per your account, not just a battle. With the way WoWs plays, it's easy to team damage that you did not purposely did. Aside from some bumping, players have no control their secondary guns. It's also easy for stray torpedoes to strike friendly ships. Unlike shells, torpedoes travel much slower and can easily engaged numerous ships.

The reason is that if you're a "serial team killer" you'll get banned anyway, and if you're not then there's no reason to yell at you. Either way, things will sort themselves out automatically without the rest of us having to be involved.
74 orangeandblue Members 475 posts 6,523 battles Report post #9 Posted July 18, 2016 I think it might be a certain amount of damage that you cause to the other team or 5 games or so whichever comes first. Last time I turned pink I worked it off in 3 games but I had one 75k damage game in there so that's what I attributed it to...not sure about that though. 206 R1CK Beta Testers 930 posts 5,765 battles Report post #11 Posted July 18, 2016 I have 2 pinks. One for 4 HP and one for 114 HP dealt to friendlies. Unfortunately that was all the HP they had to spare in both cases. The one was a complete blunder on my part and I apologized like crazy before the rounds even landed. The other was a torp that I knew was risky but I didn't care cuz the guy was being a **** so when it took the last 4 HP off his sorry butt I wasn't too concerned. 0 flingwing67 Members 6 posts 356 battles Report post #13 Posted July 18, 2016 Ok, I'm a newbie and am still trying to figure some of this out. I get it that pink (doesn't seem to show up in the training stuff anywhere) is for "friendly fire" incidents. What is the threshold? I have fired inadvertently on my team but never got "pinked", just lost points. Conversely, have received points for taking friendly fire. I totally understand the frustration of wanting to fire on "friendlies" that cut you off or just flat ram you out of inattention, etc.

But if you sink an ally or a low HP ally suicide collides with you and sinks you will get the TK status
9 [F-J] Virginia_Mountainman [F-J] Beta Testers 12 posts 8,669 battles Report post #15 Posted July 18, 2016 It's strange, I am a very 'clean" player when it comes to team damage. But the other day I accidently hit a Nagato with 2 torpedoes, did not kill him (my torpedoes, my fault, I misjudged) I apologized profusely, and assumed I would be pink in the next match... I was not. I have a regular division mate, who likes to play DD"s, and he plays them very aggressively, he gets pink about once ever two weeks. He, like many others, simply do NOT understand, and seems to be incapable of understanding, that he, and he alone is responsible for his torpedoes, and screams and blames others for his "misdeeds". IMHO That is the much bigger problem. Your teammates are NOT mind readers, and 3/4 are not chat readers... It's like defensive driving, assume the teammates around you are idiots, and are not paying attention, until proven otherwise. It does get old, dodging a teammates short range torpedoes fired from behind, at targets 10k+ away.
