Any Hawaii-based Captains Out There?

I'm moving to the Big Island soon and am curious what I can expect from there in terms of ping/server performance. I'm sure that being so close to Pearl will only increase my desire to play - and I can only take so much sun... 

 

Anyone give an idea of what to expect - looks like the best connection I can get is 50mbs....

the ping was usually around 65 to 85

and yep 50 mbs was all i could find during my stay on Maui

 

But the game played good.... not quite like mainland with 16 ping but still very playable

 

Enjoy you time on the islands.... i would go back in a heartbeat is i could afford the high cost of living there....

I play from Germany with 16mbps... with ping around 100ms is still playable

Texan here. I now get about 30-45 but used to it was in the 100 range. No clue why, maybe because I'm cheap with wifi.

There are a few of us out here...not many.  Game plays fine from O'ahu, not sure how good the internet connections are on the big island though.  Only time I go there is short 1 day trips for work.

I'm getting about 60Mbps download and 5.7Mbps upload on Oceanic.

  I have DSL 5 Mbps in Hilo.  No problems at all with any of my games, except when there's lightning then the whole internet goes down.  (storms with lightning are generally rare here)
