Question On Tier 9 CV Queue Time - How Long?

I am ready to buy the Tier 9 Taiho but before I do, how long are the average queue times for Tier 9 CVs currently for random battles? I play between 7pm to 10pm CST. Also can upgraded tier 9 planes withstand tier 10 anti aircraft firepower?

the Q time is not your issue, you can only get in a CV match if there's another CV, with the way CVs are now there's not alot of high tier ones for two reasons: 

 

1:New players have no one to fight against but older more experienced players, making many of them give up on the CV line while grinding up it. 

 

2: AA as it is now is very powerful at higher tiers, people get frustrated and leave the line.

Right I understand that I'm asking usually how long to get into a random game for tier 9 cv captains in their experience for evening hours. Three minutes? Five minutes?

I remember WG releasing a graph or something months ago saying how that like less than 10 percent of t8 CV players go against t9.  If another CV player is active, maybe 3-5 minutes. If there isn't one, you are probably gonna wait another 5-10 minutes or longer.

This is what happens when you balance a class around high level play and not average level play. That's all who played high tier CVs in early OBT that sends PTSD into players. Most of those good CV players have quit as WG has nerfed CVs pretty much every patch in some way. So now the average player doesn't stand a damn chance.

Ok so basically don't buy a tier 9 cv. Got it. They might as well delete the entire class.

I think its the correct move to balance a class having in mind how powerful it can be in good hands . Most at some point will be able to use it at full potential when they learn how to . If dont remember , Midway and Essex were able to destroy an entire fleet by them selfs in 20 minutes or even less , despite AA strenght , it was pure brute force , at that time I had so much bad time on my Iowa grind (and its one of the best AA BBs of the game) . Sad thing is , CV player base is dead .

No Essex and Midway were never to able to do that. They were able to do high damage alpha strikes that steadily got nerfed until the point now here Midway averages a 39 percent winrate. People didn't stick together near as much compared to nowadays. AA specc'd ships killed planes, its just that barely anyone specc'd into AA and wanted both worlds. Now we have a situation were USN cruisers have no niche as all cruisers can do their job. All BBs can have decent AA. USN BBs have great AA and barely see CVs.

Yeah it's too bad I hope they can fix the system so that CVs can still be viable without being OP.

5 minute maximum that is stated in the holding queue is bullsh!t. I waited 6+ min for a game in random battles when I was searching in my Essex.

So is 6+ minutes typical during NA evenings? When do you play your Essex?
