Until WG decides to put armor penetration values in port, I'll be putting them here as they become available or as I find the information.

The ships in bold have their values taken from the Armada 2.0 videos on the World of Warships YouTube channel. These values can be assumed to be in-game values.

The ships which are italicized are using real world numbers, approximatly calculated to 5km, 10km, and 15km. These are close approximations unless something was drastically changed for the sake of balance.

And ships with everything will be calculated with "The Garzke and Dulin Empirical Formula for Armor Penetration - NavWeaps" found here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.navweaps.com/index_tech/tech-109.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwiH8vKPkcrNAhXE5YMKHS3DBxEQFggpMAU&usg=AFQjCNGJaJuc_LKw2uAVWL8yEuTNIjYg1A . And we'll see what happens after I do the calculations. This will be used if impact velocities are given but not penetration.

Note some ships use the same guns and should have the same penetration values. It should also be noted that the penetration values are against belt armor. These values correspond with the shells used in top configuration.

Updates

27-6-16: Updated OP to include real world values. Added numbers for the Colorado and Iowa/(Montana) guns.

28-6-16: Added numbers for Nagato/(Amagi) and Yamato. Corrected error with Nagato penetration values.

Added Warspite, Tirpitz, and Imperator Nikolai I.

8-7-16: Added numbers for Arizona and Moskva.

Very nice Idea, I hope to see more ships added in soon, since I'm sure this layout will help many people understand how to better play their ships, or even write up review posts on the forum.

Interesting, the penetration stats arent too far off from Navweaps. (at least for NC, didnt check the other two)

Yeah, I noticed that too. Was checking Navweaps for NC also. 203/55 mk14 is also similar to navweap.

Hopefully this means WG modeled armor and penetration more or less, realistically.

They do.  I've been told by multiple sources that navweaps values should line up fairly closely with in-game performance.

+1  :great:

I'd love to see more of these, broken down by tier and class.  :honoring:

Indeed, Wargaming tries to match the real life specifications as close as possible, with mostly minor deviations between ingame, and real life, the only exceptions to this rule would be changes made in the name of balance.

Added Colorado and Iowa. The numbers are based on real world data so the may not be 100% accurate to the game, but they should be a good baseline.

Hmm going to have to double check the Colorado numbers I guess they are "right." The 406/45 mk 1 has a better initial penetration value compared the the 406/45 mk 6. The mk 1 could only fire regular shells so I guess that's why it has a heavy penetration drop off compared to the mk 6.

Yamato's AP value at 5 KM must be over 1,000+ mm...

not quite, even at point blank (0m) Yamato's guns 'only' penetrate 864mm of belt armor.

It amuses me that vastly smaller modern weaponry can have penetration reaching easily into the thousands of mm.

Added values for the Nagato's and Yamato's guns. I made a best guess with the Izumo since I couldn't find its existence. IJN guns don't have straight penetration values. So these values were found using the  formula mentioned above.

It seems to be around reasonable amounts, considering the Izumo's place at tier 9.

This is good news :)

Corrected incorrect penetration values for the Nagatos guns. It was caused by imputing the variables into the wrong place in the formula.

Added values for the Warspite, Tirpitz, and Imp Nik

Added Arizona and Moskva. Took the values for WG's Armada 2.0 series so it should be the in game values.
