My thoughts on Ranked so far

Oddly enough, I actually LIKE ranked, and really wish this to be a "every other month" type of thing. I don't do terribly great in random and alot of that is down to the 12vs12 bit. Bigger teams, harder to influence by playing well.

This is my first season and so far, I think its great. Signal flags galore (GREAT!), dabloons for grabs, credits, tons of XP on T7/6 ships you might be grinding.

Is it hard to do well in ranked, a yes and no. True it can be frustrating to be put on the potato teams for 3+ matches in a row where no-one talks, period, cruisers don't listen and get obliterated because they went off alone after being told not to, DDs hanging back or getting blown up in the first minutes...

But in the end, YOU have far more control over your win rate. 50%ers and below might rage and hope for their team to carry, but in the end, its going to be a very long grind to even get to rank 10, or 9 if you want the good signal flags.

Seriously WG, bring about more of this. I think this is great for those of us who dont have the time to be perfect, just better than average. None of that "top 1% of players" or "must be part of a good clan". ANYONE can do it if they are willing to put forth the effort and drive to succeed in ships. And thats how a game SHOULD be, more inclusive, you WANT people to go for the top and give everyone a fighting chance. I think the devs in charge of WoWS have learned from some of the drama thats unfolded from WoT and promising unique vehicles to ONLY the best of the best.

Don't get me wrong, I think you SHOULD have that option, but for those of us who really don't have the time and probably can only play weekends but are still somewhat decent, there should be an option. This is it IMO. Clan Wars? nope.

Edit: The only thing I think that should be changed is the XP gotten for capping. Its hardly fair to that BB thats slow as snails that dishes out 5 kills, 120K damage and looses a star because the DD on their team capped a couple of times.

Carry harder!.    be a star of the team.  :D

Whatever. My experience, such as it is, has shown me that 'being the star of your team' does nothing but get you shot to bits.

Like tanking a pile of damage in a Colorado to lead your team into A on Fault Line after that's what was decided, keeping the enemy team from crossing their line of islands while doing so; only to turn around when you get there and your allies are all still back behind their line of islands.

Welcome to your loss, idiots. Gave up even bothering with battleships and just played my Mahan. At least with that I could run away if the rest of the team face-faulted...

too cheap to buy premium time  :D         f2p ftw    frankly, I don't care about   pure stat.  I do care about improvement and having fun.   at my age, it takes a while to improve, so I don't mind taking time.
