You have a decent win rate after a whole 458 random battles.       Your used to the high win rate of coop since you have thousands of coop battles.     How ever you have to remember your now fighting us, not a bunch of preprogrammed robots whos sole purpose it is to shoot the closest ship to them.

I will be following your winrate closely to see how you fair after another 500 battles in random,        Im gonna make a prediction that you wont hold on to that decent w/r for long.

Almost every thread is an "I want Attention" thread,  if it wasn't for those threads, most of you would have a post count of 10 because you'd have nothing to post.

That's why you have to rely more on yourself than your team mates.           Your team mates might not always make the right choices, but as a BB player you have to go along with them, if you don't they will get smashed, and you will become torpedo food.              You can not yolo in a BB, it violates every thing that makes a BB a BB.

Mistakes in battleships are unforgiving.

As  a BB player yes, yes they are.

I wholly disagree, unless a surprise DD pops in out of out an island at 3km, BBs are one of the most forgiving ships in the game and their survival rates prove that. You get a heal, massive health pools, armor to shrug off most attacks, the best torpedo belts, rudders fast enough to dodge torpedo walls, enough AA suite to limit CV attacks (More towards USN BBs), longest immunity zones during damage control party, longest range, best alpha... honestly, the only thing about playing a BB that is challenging is positioning. Due to the slow nature, you have to be very adept at reading the situation and understanding the ebb and flow of battle.... just like every other ship in this game, but without all the perks.

I think that was the intention. BBs are tactically unforgiving. Especially USN BBs that move just above 20 knots. If you commit to one side of the map, you better hope there's (A) something to shoot at and (B) not too many things shooting back at you. The detection range and speed of BBs means early game decisions have long term consequences.

IMO, the best way to start a game in a BB is to wait and see how the game develops in the first couple minutes before committing to a direction. Good communication between teammates also helps... A LOT.

I think chat said it well.

1) Did you try to ram a ship that's faster than you .... AND has torps? BAHAHA, Do you know that ship you tried to ram is probably the squishiest ship in the game... and you're in a Fuso? You're the hardest hitting T6 in the game.... on that note...

2) How do you only get 15 shell hits the WHOLE game in a fuso? Especially when you're that close to a Molotov. If I had less than 15 hits on a Molotov alone that was that close Id be disappointed. What did you do the rest of the game?!?! Bahaha

All I see here is you being a baddie, probably 7 games in a row.  Learn to carry harder.

Very easy to only get 15 hits.  Look at the ship carcasses on the map.  One side never left the spawnline, they just ran away the whole match.

If your following everyone that is running away, you won't get very many hits.

How do you only get 15 hits in a Fuso. That's like, 3 salvos fired, max.

Drawn from my many thousands of battles through alfa, beta, and release.

BB is afk for 5 minutes than jumps in and follows the lemming train after 1/3 of team is dead, and then blames them for sucking.

Gets 15 hits on the guys that are so greedy for a 5th kill for the kraken that they run right up to him to drop torps.

Either that or gets 15 hits on guys that are so disgusted they want to die and get away from the match.

I can relate.

True, BBs have the hardest time recovering from bad positioning, especially when you dont realize its a bad position till you have 5 cruisers shooting at you and have multiple fires raging :D

To be fair if he was Long range sniping the Fuso's Dispersion rate is HORRIBLE
You have to pray to the Dispersion gods and the RNG Gods  in the Fuso.

He should've sunk that Molotov wayy before it became a threat. That thing is a floating citadel.

Edit:

IJN BB's can recover better from a bad position than the USN BB's

USN BB's up to teir 7 have a tough time of it.

Here's my issue with many (but not all) battleship players

1. The ones that think driving around the outside squares of the map and taking long range shots is "good teamplay"

2. The ones that drive their slow boats into places where it's difficult to adjust and react, effectively taking their guns out of play for significant portions of the match.

Case in point for #2 is people taking BB's up the 9 line on this map. I can't tell you how often I see that happen. There's some sort of false sense of safety or something for BB players there, or something I don't get. The only problem is: if the enemy doesn't also come to you on the 9 line your ships is virtually useless for the most important part of the match.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way, right? If nobody went with you, you weren't leading. If you went to C by yourself anyway, you weren't following. Guess you got yourself out of the way.

Wepps, you only have 25 games in the Fuso and only 100 games in BBs with 460 overall.  IMO it is just lack of experience, specifically in the IJN BB line which is giving you this impression.

I am not saying all teams are great, however the Fuso in this situation is quite capable of carrying the match which should always be your goal.

Good luck with it, however also note that your overall win rate is quite good and expecting more then a 50-60% win rate in a ship will require you to learn how to carry matches with it.

Overall, you should aim for getting on average around 80-90k damage with this ship per match (average match) if you want to carry matches with this ship and get the 75%-85% win rate possible.

Currently thought your win rate is high, this is likely due to low number of matches as your overall damage average with this ship is only 36,216.20 compared to the average player which has 45,391 and average carrying is around 80k+.  Also, your warship destroyed is only 1.2 which is good (average is only 1) however average carrying player is around 1.8 which is expected with the low damage you are producing on average.

I think that you should consider your best game in this ship ever to be your goal of an AVERAGE match and you will have better games.

https://warships.today/vehicle/4288624336/na/Fuso

Edit:

Also note that XP increases with the above notes as well. Your average of 1100XP per match with this ship is roughly just over half the average XP of the average of the carrying players noted above.

Wepps, might I suggest you lead by example? If you want cruisers to escort and defend battleships, then play a cruiser and do so.

So, what is that dynamic worth to you?

Play Co-Op so much more fun currently. I have pretty much gave up on Random at least till the current meta changes we're still very much in beta so there's hope for that. When I went on a brief hiatus my stats were on upward trend. Win rate was hovering around 52%. Average damage was 32,000, and slowly rising. Come back, and the typical match doesn't even have enough cruisers to hunt down the DD or for me to shoot at. Think the only stat that has gone up or at a minimum stayed roughly the same is my survival rate.

I'm finding that the most important aspect of BB play (outside of the basics) is trying to balance your positioning so that you are dealing damage and tanking for your team, without getting isolated and focused OR being too far back to tank.

It's requiring watching my own team as much as I watch the enemy's on the mininap.

This is true, period. If you're looking for a hotkey that will increase your winrate for free, hit NumPad+ a few times.
