So, I produced this very simple visual guide to help all inexperienced players to improve their game-play and increase their success rate in Co-Op mode. Best regards. P.S. - Please have in mind that the fleet formation diagrams just illustrate how the different divisions should position between themselves towards the expected threat axis and DO NOT represent the actual individual ships positioning towards the enemy (armor angling and full salvos maneuvering). There are good people in co-op sure, but not enough, and then you get bots on your own team sometimes. Edited May 11, 2016 by Pulicat

They push in groups (at least in pairs), and they focus fire on you, the weakest ship ahead, and on DDs Coop players most of the time have little clue, go every which way, don't stay together for mutual protection, and don't focus fire. The bot improvement is across all tiers. I have played from T2 to T8 and see the same pattern. Now bot teams win a lot more matches than they used to, and it is pour fault for not adapting. I still kill 2 or 3 per battle, but generally all alone and by the time I battle the fourth my HP is almost gone so they kill me. If cruisers or BBs stayed together... And one thing I noticed about the players is that far too many of them don't pay attention to the ways the bots play each map and play to counter the bots' expected movements. Too often these players get too cute and try to fight the battles like they're going up against real life unpredictable players rather than very predictable bots. And when they do this, they often lose. But when the players play against the bots' predictable movements, it's rather easy to beat them.

I remember one battle on two bothers in co-op, I was going to go to D, like I prefer to in most normal battles. A guy on the team told me I was going the wrong way, and I said I hate going A on this map. He's like, trust me, the action will be over here. So I followed and sure enough, there was all the action. . Solomon islands, EVERYONE on the bot team likes to rush the center. On North, don't go to B at first unless you like to burn from focus fire, because there will be all of the enemy DD's and some cruisers to focus you. There are certain things that you can just expect on most maps.

Does not matter if you are in a slow USN BB. They will come to you if you know where to be.
12,672 [SALVO] Crucis Members 28,247 posts 43,798 battles Report post #8 Posted May 11, 2016 As a side note, I was in co-op battle less than an hour ago where it was 7 BB (1 NC, 1 Tirpitz, 1 Nagato, and 4 New Mexicos) + 1 CA per side. We were able to keep all the BB's together as a unit and headed to C cap on the Trap map, and the enemy team headed that way too. And a truly amazing brawl broke out! The player team won relatively easily because our focus fire was excellent. Fun times!

Thought I would check that out so I ran my Kami R into a coop match... every salvo fired at me landed at least one hit... most landed 2 or 3... it was well, pretty much the same as it always was, so it seems. Wonder if they keep stats on their bot players? You know... some bots are good, some are experts, some are dumb... if they aren't doing it that way it would be great if they did. Bot ranking.
