C17 is a sweet [edited]ride. Seriously, once they level off you unbuckle pull out your pillow, Woogie and sleeping bag and rack the [edited]out.  Thing is so big it's rare to hit turbulence, best plane ride in the world commercial or otherwise.

Been on one with a surgery set up to, docs working on troops on the way to Rammstien, amazing stuff.

There is the MQ-1B (which I work with) and the MQ-9 (Pred C according to General Atomics).  The MQ-9 has vertical ruddervators whereas the MQ-1B has inverted ruddervators that are pointed down.  Additionally, the MQ-9 is about 10x the size, in weight, compared to the MQ-1B Predator.  Pred can only fit 2x missiles while the MQ-9 can fit either 8x missiles or 4x missiles and 2xGBU-12 (500lbers).  Just to name a few....

I always did strangely enjoy videos comparing various weapons, warships, and such things in terms of size, and length, it makes you appreciate how massive some machines were, and definitely helps to provide some sense of scale.

Worked with the C (this one not the Reaper https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Atomics_MQ-1C_Gray_Eagle) a bit before I got out, we were calling it the ERMP though, it was replacing the Warrior Alpha( a B with lots of improvments). Saw one bounce to a total loss trying to get the TALS to work, fun times. Using Diesel was cool and the STARlite was something out of science fiction.

The Air Force was switching to MQ9s the last time I really worked with anything, have a lil over 1000 hours on the Pred B and they used to knock us out of our airspace all the time, trolling usually...

lol yeah.  The MQ-1C is a Grey Eagle which the Army is using.  I was Air Force so I can only speak to the MQ-1B Predator and the MQ-9.

The MQ9 was awesome, we got to tour a GA facility in Balad. Thing was MASSIVE! It looked like some crazy WW2 bomber all decked out with Hellfires during preflights, cool stuff. We used to always give them [edited]in mIRC about their lack of loiter time though, performance anxiety and what not, always up and down:trollface:
