No. I'm sailing along, and I hear what sounds like someone smacking a metal plate in a workshop. Nothing to do with me. Like a backgroud noise.

Are you talking about the 'torpedoes ready' sound?  Happens about 60 seconds into the match?

No. It's thunderous. Not like guns firing, but like a dull metallic sound. A hollow sound. I can't find a video I'm falling asleep.

It's either torpedoes being loaded, or your guns loading up.  Turn down the ship sounds and it should go away.  Or lower your overall volume....you'll go deaf, you know!

It has nothing to do with the ship. Cmon guys I've been playing since alpha, I know what gun reloads and torp reloads sound like.

It sounds far off and distant while I'm sailing around minding my own business. Like I said, someone hitting a hollow piece of metal very far away. If its long range gunfire its a terrible sound for it

Pans falling in the galley?

Empty brass from the secondaries rolling around?

Maybe it is distant gun fire....

This sounds like a twilight zone episode. Specifically the "nightmare at 20,000 feet" episode

TBH, now that you mention it, I heard something like that today. Was scoped in and firing, nothing incoming, and I thought I had a collision, but no other ships close enough when I looked.

I've noticed that you can sometimes hear your shells hitting the enemy I  the distance, it's a dull thumping noise. Probably not what the OP means, but it seems to be new and I thought it was neat.

OP might be hearing teammates shooting, that's all I can figure
