Good for you, sir.  She never clicked for me, and I was glad to be done with her.

 

She definitely has potential, but for whatever reason I wasn't able to unlock it.  Only a 33% win rate with her.

 

Enjoy the time in her though, as the Kirov is a completely different animal.

Have  you killed a BB with her torps yet? Did that once. shot the port launchers round one side of an island, then steamed around the other side and brought the starboard ones to bare. He left me on a sliver of health, but it didn't matter, cus that kill depleted the enemies points,

I got a Wyoming who charged me when I was stuck on an island. He was only  maybe 35° off the port bow, with just enough angle to catch 3. I don't think he realised how far forward the arc is. He would have died anyway, as he was low on health and I had 4 fires on him, but those torps hit just before he would have fired and taken my last sliver of health.

 

Also a great ship for getting cits on Omaha/Phoenix, and a pretty decent flamethrower.

 

I liked it, and will probably rebuy it at some point. (Kuma is my only other Tier 4)

What the top tier in a match is has a huge impact on this ship. In a tier 6 match which I was constantly getting it is very handicapped facing ships that far out range it and that will tear a Svietlana up without breaking a sweat.

At the end before I went down I was fighting a Phoenix and an Ishizuchi alone, well effectively alone because our Wyoming was coming to my assistance but was still quite a ways out, and those five torpedo hits were a parting shot on the Phoenix before my ship slipped under the waves. I should have died long before I got the torpedoes off but thankfully for me the Ishizuchi was firing HE.

The Svietlana definitely is tier-challenged. But sometimes you can overcome that.I took top spot in a Tier 6 match today by taking out a CV and a DD. I almost had a second CV, but a destroyer got the last shot. The two of us pushed the West, and when they collapsed, we swung around the North, right into their CVs. It was great.
