I am just about to get my four-point-skill on my US DD line and I want to spend them correctly. My playstyle is that I try to escort bigger ships and that I hunt enemy DDs. So how do I spend these four points well? My current ship is the Farragut with the C-hull. I use the Main Battery modification 1 and the AA guns modification 2. Captain skills are the following: Situation awareness, Last Stand and High Alert. I think all three skills (Demolition Expert, Advanced Firing training and Survival Expert) could be useful so I am desperate what to use. The Sirene Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Depends really, do you want to burn more or have more health? Well the Faragut is not that good when it goes to health. Both the Nicholas and the Mahan have more hp so that would be nice. But otherwise when I am the only reamaining DD at the end I need those fires to help my team. That is why I am asking here. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I specc'd Demo Expert on mine. AFT is useless and if I need Survival Expert to keep me afloat constantly, I'm doing it wrong. The increase in fires was noticeable. Killing battleships and heavy cruisers will be done with torpedoes, not by pinging them to death with your puny guns. For that, you'll have to get close, and more health helps there. I am in the same situation, except on the Nicholas. I haven't decided what to get. They both seem useful. I am leaning towards Survivability Expert at the moment. No one thinks destroyer guns can seriously harm a battleship by themselves, but if you can get them to blow their DCP and then stack fires and flooding on them, you can seriously drain their health.
