What is wrong with the game?

I haven't played for some time and since I recently reformatted my system, had to download and install and patch again. Took about 4 hours. I finally load the game and there is no port view. There is the Wargaming logo with the spinning thing in the center of the screen and it never went away. I exited and restarted and finally got the port screen. I went into a bot battle to get my feet wet and stayed at the loading screen forever. I watched the player list as ships were sunk. I waited until seven ships had sunk and finally had to close the game with Task Manager. I restarted and was immediately thrown back into the match I'd left without any option. Now there were ten ships sunk. I never got into the match.

 

I've read about long loading times, but this?

The loading issue has be addressed in recent patch. Were you running other applications or high speed download at the same time?

No, nothing.

 

I just started again and found I had a lost match (of course). Went in for another try and same thing happens. I stay in the loading screen with the player list and never enter the match. I can watch ships moving in the mini-map.

 

Is it normal for the game to be using over 1GB of memory?

I'm deleting the entire game and downloading it again. Why does the game have so many files and folders? It lists 123,141 files and 43,859 folders.

 

WoT shows 5,102 files and 388 folders.

Because WoWS is 118,039 better than WoT.

Are you using any mods? The same thing happened to me after this update, solved it by deleting all mods.

It had been so long, I didn't know what was related to mods or what. The game was installed on a separate drive from boot and after reformatting, I ran the patcher.

 

So I just deleted the whole thing and downloaded again and repatched and all is well now. I notice now that what I was missing was the "Start Battle" button at the bottom of the screen. I guess I was assuming you went straight into the match because that button wasn't there.

 

Thanks for the help. I just ran my first battle (bots) after a long time and in that new ship Hermelin and got 82 hits and 2 destroyed, so I feel better.
