What if any are the new rules for friendly fire or a kill?

Of course I want to know because I accidently sunk a friendly destroyer with my torps the other day. Totally my fault and I apologized but he was very pissed and him and several other players threatened me with a report. I was very embarrassed and was "pinked" in the next random battle. I took my medicine and abuse like a man and was actually 2nd high scorer in the next battle with my New York and destroyed 3 ships. Of course I avoided playing destroyers till my time in the pink doghouse was over. I've been sunk several times by friendly fire but I don't get upset and threaten people as I believe from what they said in the chat it was accidental. If the guy I sunk reads this topic again I apologize to him and have learned my lesson. I have played over 2000 games so I'm no rookie but far from being an expert. I never will be as I'm not a hardcore gamer but just love playing WOWS. Thanks for any replies.

Same rules as before but stricter. Just don't team damage.

The new TK rules are not very clear. They lowered the amount of Team damage required to be labelled a TKr and added that if you sink a friendly even with low HP you get labelled immediately. The high fines are still in place as well as the reflected damage you receive while pink. It takes several matches to work it off while causing no additional team damage

You feel bad and never do it again.

(This system only works on people who aren't moral septic tanks)

What if I ram the teammate, I wonder if 5 HP team-damage will make me pink...

Ridiculous.

Thank you for the explanation.

What about this situation?

You're in a destroyer and launch torps at an enemy who is within range and they are launched BEHIND a friendly who is headed away from your spread. Since you are around 8km out when launching, is it your fault if that player suddenly turns and heads back into the path of your torps? I don't see how. And if the torps are anywhere at all near them, they get a warning.

The path was clear when I launched. I can't be responsible for where everyone else decides to go after launch.

It seems to me like there should be some kind of distance from your ship when you launch that is considered friendly damage punishable but after a certain distance, people should be aware. I mean, if you hit someone 2km away, that's one thing, but if they are hit after a torp travels 10km, they aren't paying attention.

In a real life war footing would you really not inform / signal nearest fleet members of your torps launch!?  Protocol.

I did, as soon as I launched them, I told them in chat. They had at least 2 minutes I'd say to keep clear.

I actually sank a teammate by colliding with him. I didn't turn pink though. This may have been before the new patch.

" I have played over 2000 games so I'm no rookie"

Yet you still don't know that the past tense of "sink" is "sank".

I've been pinked due to lag. I fire at a ship that I see, but in reality It's moved on and a team mate is there. Note: never had lag before our last update.
