This Mother Lovin' ship is a  BEAST!..

But I need some help.  I'm trying to figure out the best course for my Modules, and I didn't take a good look at the stock ship  with just BFT on my commander.     Does anyone Know the reload time for the ship with just BFT and no Gun mod 3?

 

I could have swore it was 4second reload before the mod,  I put the mod on which is -12% to reload  giving me a reduction of .48sec, rounded for .5    but I am still at 4 seconds.    is there a hard cap for how low it can go, or is this just crappy rounding and they chose to round down instead of up giving me a 3 second reload?     If this is the case, gun mod 3 is just useless and I wasted 3 million creds.

I've never heard of that glitch. I would exit game and load back in for a start just to make sure the it isn't a refresh bug.

 

The closet bug to that has been the modules/upgrades that don't actually work such as the manual AA bug.

Okay, so I decided to go and take the Gun mod 3 off the ship to check, and yep  As I suspected,  without the Mod it is 4 seconds reload 8 seconds  180 turret traverse.   By adding on the Gun mod you are getting 9.4 seconds 180 turret traverse and gaining NO, I say again NO reduction in reload.  The rounding factor does nothing to help you,  so, for 3 million credits you are just adding 1.4 seconds to traverse and gaining nothing in return.

it seems it's currently botched

 

it used to be shots per minute in full seconds, now they show reload in full seconds

 

b2lm turret has 12 rpm and is show as 5s, and it's indeed 60/12 = 5

b2u turret has 13 rpm and is shown as 4s while it's actually 60/13 = 4.62

b2u with the gun module is 60/(13*1.12) = 4.12 and is shown as 4s

 

now, it's weird that if we add bft which your cap'n has, b2u will have reload time of like 60/(13*1.22) = 3.78 (not sure if the buffs are addictive this way but likely it's less than 4 anyway) , if 4.62 was rounded down to 4 instead of 5 it means that 3.78 should be rounded to 3 while you say it's shown as 4

 

now, if we consider that the old rpm which they used to display probably wasn't 13 but something like 13.4 rounded to 13 (just a hypothesis), then it all suddenly makes sense 60/13.4 = 4.47 can be rounded to 4, 60/(13.4*1.12) = 4 and 60/(13.4*1.22) = 3.67 can be rounded to 4 too

 

tldr it's a crapnew port system and i hope they fix it

Indeed, so right now Mod3 is just a waste of credits only to "De-buff" your own turrets.   Probably not even going to go with a 3 million credit mod,   AA not so needed, Torps, maybe.

i believe it's just the port shows the data poorly

 

take your khab on a ride in a training room and count how many shots per minute you are doing with the mod and without it, there should be a difference

This ship is just insane. I was trying to link up with my team in my Yammy with one of these chasing me at 14 km. I could barely land any HE shots on him at that range and he was like an Atlanta on steroids. Basically solo'd me with just stupid ROF and every hit 2-3 fires started.

 

I'm sorry but this ship is just ridiculous, I don't expect to be raping DDs in a BB but holy crap I felt helpless while he took me from pretty much full to 5k health.

It has an 8% chance to set fires.. it's rate of fire is the only thing it has,  HE does around 200-300 per salvo (with the occasional solid crits of 1500k), AP will shred targets,    Currently the Yamato has no Counter,  and I Love to terrorize the Yamato's,   I've only had it a short time, but I make it my goal to just terrorize them.

Actually, now that I reviewed a video,  it seems it may actually have an effect of .4 seconds,  in the video, it shows a 3.6 second reload on the counter,    Still.  3 million for .4 seconds,  Meh, not worth it still in my opinion for 1.4 second slower turrets  and 3 million credits.    better off with none or AA or torpls.
