Option to remove 'fire border' around screen?

Say is there an option in game to turn off the new 'fire border' that pops up around the outside of your screen when your ship catches fire?

 

I find it really annoying. I kinda know my ship is on fire from all the other alarms and indicators already.

hrm...will check that later when I'm home from work. Was wondering how to do this as well.

Reduced fire effect is what you want.  Had to turn it off last night as well.
