>> Mandatory inquiry about your stuff <<

On a serious note, can you elaborate? I'm just wondering if we could help you somehow regain the interest and keep playing since you're going to stick around on the forums .

I just...something about Wargaming's games don't set right with me. World of Tanks, World of Warplanes, and World of Warships are all very arcadey games. This is fine and good...but with one mistake you are essentially boned in each game. In Tanks if you make a mistake you take 3 shots, have half your modules damaged, and are forced to do literally nothing in hopes of getting enough credits to repair the tank. In Planes...to be honest I don't know...just know that it sucks. And in Warships one mistake can cost you often times half your health. Maybe I just suck and can't grasp how these games are supposed to be played. It just seems that it punishes you too harshly for the kind of game it looks and feels like.

Then there's the progression system which just seems to do everything in it's power to kill you if you either suck (me) and/or can't pay up (also me). I understand the way it works, more damage means more credits and exp.  Also I know that the exp system is fair, if you suck it'll take you time, it just past tier 5 feels like it punishes too much. It keeps the horrible players out of the high tiers (hopefully) But at the same time when I exit a battle and receive about 500 exp and am placed right at the bottom half of the scoreboard, I get discouraged. So next game I'll try to be more aggressive, get more damage done...only to make one mistake and get punished hard for it. It's a vicious cycle that feeds into itself, all it produces is a meager amount of exp/credits and a frustrated player.

I'm not even really adverse to playing difficult games, I love Dark Souls, I enjoy realistic battles in Warthunder. But in both of them I generally can understand why I died. "Oh I should have rolled instead of attacked, now I have a sword sticking out of me." and "Oh I shouldn't have looped, now I no longer have any wings." With both of these examples I will do it differently next time, and for the most part come out a bit better the next time. But with this game "Oh I went too far ahead and got citadel'd to hell, I'll have to stay back next time." Then when I try the solution I'll end up doing next to nothing for the team, losing and getting nothing...that or winning with a pristine ship and getting next to nothing.

I guess I just can't get in the mindset really required to play this game or something...I don't know. I just know I end up getting frustrated with gaming in general after playing it. :/

WG is very manipulative.  Tanks is ultra manipulative.....it just goes with the territory.  I DID NOT say rigged but you must know how to game their system to do really well or hook up, play teams, etc.  Not a kind game to solo pub players.  It's hard to be above average on your own.  Some can do it and they have my respect.  How they pull high win rates if they are solo pub players mystifies me. Those players are just good!  Very good.  Actually not a lot of them if you check the stat sites.  Most players are 48-50%.  The bulk of em.

i feel ya. i came back after a hiatus since the new patch was bringing in some new things. im just not excited about the game anymore...each match is the same. nobody wants to commit, DDs die fast, one team collapses. not that there would necessarily be a huge variation on this...but the unimaginative game modes are really getting to me and really drive (at least some) of this mind-numbing routine. there needs to be more than same tired variations on cap points with tickets.

i dunno. normally i would play the hell out of some premium time, but that isnt even moving the meter for me. a few matches tonight and im bored out of my skull with ships...its just too predictable and played out.

To each his own, really.

One question I have is have you ever div'd up with any players?

Your Winrate is very good, shoot all your stats are better than mine. After 400+ plus games I guess you would know if you are going to enjoy the game or not.

I can say that you are right about where the Ships start getting a lot different, or more enjoyable to me at least.

regardless hope you find a game that "sticks" and you can enjoy.

streaks of rough games come around for everyone. Just keep at it and you'll be back to winning.

I've divisioned before but I don't really have anyone to division with...reliably. Only one on my friends list that really plays often only does Co-op battles, which I can't stand. The game was quite fun then but no one really to division with. :/

Tks.  Very good.  I am a Bob Dylan era guy.  He visited Woody before he died.  Can you find The Times They Are Changing? Also Woody singing This Land is my Land?

How...mature >.>

Pretty sure the same thing could be said about the OP.

I was simply pointing out the fact that if WG pisses you off, just wait until you spend an extended amount of time with Gaijin.

Just play something else, because no one cares. :)

I have to question people who claim that WoT in particular is too unforgiving, but say they want to go play War Thunder.

Yeah, cause 1 mistake in War Thunder is usually forgiving as all hell.

As a player who sucks as well, allI can say is that you have to make the game fun for you. I try to work as a team, escorting BB in CA, or providing AA cover for the CV. Sure, some players will get bent because I am not rushing the cap or shooting the gap in my BB but I have plenty of fun being a support player. Besides, eventually many DD players will give you an opportunity to sink them when they are after your escorted ship.

Well...it makes more sense in warthunder to me, which is why I understand it more. It gets frustrating yes but, I understand why the shell mauled my crew or why my wings flew off more than random damage values.

Fun is what you make of it, and if your not having it in a video game than try a different one. You didn't make a whiney post so that's my best answer. Some people have slow hand eye coordination, lack situational awareness, this that or the other. The key I always find is play to your strengths and only work on your weaknesses if they become a hindrance to them but the bottom line is just have fun, my work is to serious for me to take a video game and stress over much less shorten my life span lol. Good luck mate :honoring:
