:) I can't tell the intentions of this thread, so I'll just smile, and move on.

I thought WG handled it pretty well too. I mean sure, it was a pretty big bug to get through, but they got the info the needed from players to fix it, tested a downloadable hotfix, and then pushed the fix out to everyone when they'd solved it. Well done.

They responded in a open and honest matter, and worked quickly to resolve it, it's a huge step forward for their customer service, lets hope it continues. :medal:

I bet most of them are just waking up or still sleeping.

Thanks chief!

You guys deserve it. It's always the bigger problems which reveal how capable a team is, and you all were right on top of this one. Color me impressed, since bigger companies tend to have more trouble reacting quickly.

Oh, and the patch is awesome in all other respects, too.

I think it's more that this bug was too big and crippling for them to just leave for the next patch.

I still remember the months it took to make Iowas superstructure not invincible.

I'm not convinced until WG consistently demonstrates their ability to quickly patch widespread bugs, or, if they don't, at least tell us why it's not being immediately fixed.

Patching game crippling bugs is a basic expectation of an online developer. Performing your basic tasks isn't something to congratulate.

You're not congratulating their work. You're congratulating their vigilance.

Due to the nature of this bug, they should make it so people who tried to register for the test server but never got the emails actually can get on the sever

What, we're supposed to congratulate them for paying attention to the state of their perpetual online game, like they're supposed to?

Ever played a UbiSoft game?

Probably not.

Wait, we're not supposed to praise WG staff for doing what they're supposed to do! We're supposed to hate on them for not doing what they're supposed to do fast enough! :hiding:

Just curious, has WG added staff members? Because there are like 5 new accounts and people other that Niko commenting. I really hope that this signals a shift on WG's part towards greater community cooperation. Keep it up WG!
