Win 8.1 Lenovo Y40 laptop

 

No mods. I did uncheck readonly for the preferences.xml

 

Start computer and start game. It downloads, update, merge files, and delete files. Then tells me game client is outdated again and start download again. Few more cycles of delete and update later I am done. Game loads fast now and I see none of the issues (distortion, floating markers, etc) that other people saw.

 

I left the computer alone when it is doing the update. No browser or anything else other than background processes running.

I have seen none of the graphical issues either, but it's clear there's a problem when so many people are getting hit with it.

They didn't delay the update on the other servers for no reason....
