Sure, you may have made it so you have ONE of THREE capture points. But what stops an enemy DD from capturing the other two? hmmm? And all you accomplish is having your team in on small space, expect torpedoes, many torpedoes. Even if you Lemmings do realize your mistake, you have already lost as the score is 600 to around 200. Please, secure TWO capture points NOT one or attempt to go for THREE. One Point: You lose. Two Point: Kill some people and you win. Three Point: You may win, but you at this point, are stretched to thin. Have a DD capture the third point and don't have 1/3 of the fleet at each point. I see this WAY to much.. the stupidity of some players these days... While you CAN successfully 'Lemming' it RARELY works out as the other team has to be worse then you. Which usually doesn't happen. Had to vent my frustration, had 3 games in a row of these stupid meatbags..

They then proceed to take the long way around to group up with my flank. Had to tell them to do their jobs and cap.

Two shall be the number of bases you capture, and the number of the bases to capture shall be two. Three shalt thou not capture, neither capture thou one, excepting that thou then proceed to two. Four is right out. Once the base numbered two, being the second base, be reached, then defendest thou thy bases againt thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

290 [BEARS] War_Maggot Members 514 posts 17,056 battles Report post #14 Posted April 28, 2016 Darth is pretty dead on. It is a result of idiots not learning how the game is played + mindless sailing and firing + complete lack of common sense. Understandable at low tiers; I have spent a thousand battles trying to play admiral while snot-beating the enemy in a Hosho because they do not understand the concept of CAPTURE THE ENEMY BASE and DEFEND YOUR BASE. I am not immune to rage, I have had a game or two where I was screaming at someone who sailed right out of a 3/4-capped enemy base because they got cv fever. I don't believe there is a wiki or writeup on basic game playing, and I KNOW there is none on scoring. I try to drill it into them that chasing down a cv for a kill and costing yourself the game means you got 1/2 the score you would have, and that a base cap means huge points. Kills grant exponentially less xp, just like any other ribbon, and if you lose, it doesn't matter how many kills you have, you are porked. It's not rocket science.

52 [OPGS] marcmad Members 608 posts 4,038 battles Report post #19 Posted April 28, 2016 Lemming work... as long as you keep moving. Capture one point the go forward the second in a big blog. It protect the point you just captured since ennemy DD would need to make a large detour to capture it and you focus your fire to the ennemies on the second and then the third points. Lemming is not always the best strat but it can work.

And I was the only one (in a DD) left guarding the other flank. Only to find all the enemy ships lemminged the same way as my team. I then walked in the cap for the win. And for half of the combined idiot fleet, lemming did work. Lesson NOT learned.

837 Fletcher7_1944 Members 4,680 posts Report post #25 Posted April 28, 2016 I'd like to add that it is NOT necessary for the entire team to go to our cap (in standard mode) at the beginning of the match, before you sail on to wherever. Nor is it required for half the team to go full right or left rudder as soon as the match starts- to get to the side you aren't spawned on. Frankly, you DESERVE to get rammed by those other players you just cut off... Is it REALLY that effing hard to hang back and turn behind them??? As a BB main, I've lost count of the number of times I've been rammed by these twits, or had to slam on the brakes to avoid t-boning them... Thanks, you schmoe- now it'll be another ten minutes for me to get going again... Makes me wish my crew could throw rotten tomatoes or eggs at them. (or "trucker bombs"!)
