Love the new sinking animations, but ... They would be even better if the water was more disturbed during the sinking, and there was some random debris / flotsam left at the place of sinking instead of only a small oilslick.

Love the fact that a ship sinking takes so much longer, too. Gives me something to watch while my torpedoes reload.

And something to ram into.

you mean block enemy torpedos

Meaning that after we use our allies as meat shields, we can then use their sinking corpse for a while longer? Nice.

Have you witnessed this?

Not witnessed this. Would be very curious to know if this is true. Personally, I think it could be bad for gameplay if this is true, especially on very narrow passages.

I've heard elsewhere on the forum today that ships don't sink entirely when they're destroyed in the shallows. Have you witnessed this?

Cheers.

I have  seen this a few times during the public test. If a ship get sunk near a beach or shallow waters. he still stay there stuck on the beach or above the water lines. But he still dead, you can shot at him all day lol

Or random explosion in the battery area... or the main guns explode sky high after awhile :great:

I'm excited that it is disturbed at all, with what looks like air bubbling out and blowing spray into the air.  Nice touch.  A debris field would be nice, too, but maybe that can come later.

Enh, as a hazard, I don't think it'd be bad.  Minor annoyance at worst, cool feature to others.

that's right, after having them soak up all the damage for you, let them do you 1 more solid by absorbing those pesky torps

So what happens when a ship gets submerged by another ship and the ship on top of it is destroyed? Does the submerged ship turn into a hermit crab wearing its dead comrade as a mobile sidescrape? :teethhappy:
