  • For the "North" map, we added "Cyclone" weather conditions (heavy rain, fog, heavy clouds). During the cyclone, the maximum surface spotting/detectability range (ship to ship) is 8km, and the maximum air spotting/detectability range (ship to aircraft, aircraft to ship, aircraft to aircraft) is 3km
  • During "bad" weather (lasting from 2 to 10 minutes), aircraft carriers will onlyspot the targets that are spotted by their aircraft or are directly visible

wth? So we cant see the enemy util we get to 3km??? So how the AA gonna work in that case? Only when spot one aicraft?

Thats just terrible to tier 9/10 carriers.

No it means that ships will only see the aircraft at 3km and the aircraft will only detect the ships at 3km.

Yes but the AA is automatic... my ask is the AA only gonna start shoot when be detected? (like the des moindes shotting down planes até 8km...)

No it means that you will not be able to spot any ships till you get within 3km range with planes. No matter what ship it is.

if their aa guns are firing at your planes, then they will get spotted sooner. Simple as that

The notes say nothing about that, only say "the maximum air spotting/detectability range (ship to aircraft, aircraft to ship, aircraft to aircraft) is 3km"...

considering how AA cannot fire at what it cannot see (just ask any completely DD in smoke with fighters above), I think it's safe to assume that AA will only fire off if the planes are spotted at 3km and will then be available for targeting due to vision sharing

Which will be terrible considering that when you stumble across a ship with your planes, your planes will then suddenly be lit by that ship as well, which means the rest of the fleet, which you cannot see, begins to feast on your planes.  So you either sacrifice your planes to spot 1 ship, or you wait to do anything until the weather has passed and you can actually see what you are getting into.

Sounds realistic enough to me. A Commander sometimes has to be bold and aggressive, sometimes patience will pay off. Wait until your teammates spot them. You can keep your planes near your own fleet while waiting for a target.
