10 LeetoF Members 53 posts 3,876 battles Report post #1 Posted April 9, 2016 So I log in today to play a couple of games in my Taiho and I get this! Obviously I was killed (managed to actually down half the HP on the Izumo though) but my point isn't that. I get that we all complain about MM sometimes, but how can this possibly happen? I've seen it happen on a game posted by iChase once more ( ). Is the game literally forcing higher tier CV players to stop playing them? Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas if this will ever be addressed in future patches?

Bail out and go lower tier rather than waiting for this inevitable conclusion. it's not like you didn't have 5 minutes to hit the "back to port" button. It's pretty common knowledge that MM will take whatever it has after the 5 minute timeout. If you didn't know before, you do now.

I've never had MM this bad on my CVs, but I have had the small teams problem when running my tier 10s. Between that and the wait I rarely take them out. Sometimes on weekends if the server population is high I'll play them. Like IvalidKey said, If I don't see at least a 2 for the number of CVs waiting and the rest of the types being a decent number I bail and pick another ship.

I didn't know about the 5 minute thing. Guess I'll start to actually pay attention to the queue now.
16 justsmith Beta Testers 168 posts 5,523 battles Report post #6 Posted April 9, 2016 you just have to take those battles with a bit of salt as they is little chance of avoiding them e.g they was in the MM for 5+ mins as soon as you hit battle you end up finding a game and that match. 15 ofi123 Beta Testers 139 posts 13,838 battles Report post #7 Posted April 9, 2016 My guess is the 5 minute wait mechanic and CV same tier pairing mechanic screwing things up. With the 5 minute mechanic the mm would just throw any ships it had matched to battle by 5 minutes, but the CV same tier mechanics would prevent that if there's no same tier CVs in queue. So when other ships wait for 5 minutes they get put into another match while the CV player continues to wait, until a same tier CV player joins in and mm starts the match straight away. But if there's no new ships placed into the matching and all the other ships were taken out to other matches it could result in a CV facing another CV with his div. Take it as a compliment. I'd ask WG for the Saipan for free if I was such a good CV player.
