Ships in port, $ spent

I've been curious about how people spend money on the game, how many ships they keep in port, etc.  If you're comfortable sharing the information, please do so.

I spent some pock change for gold to fix a captain or two and I have 5 premium ships. But all my premiums have either been freebie ships, Contest rewards or won in contests outside of the game.

I voted.  All my premium ships are free prizes, though I'm really thinking about the Saipan.  I've had a premium account since I started, as I wanted to give a 'paying vote' to WG for a nice game.  (and it's not much either).  And I have so many ships so I can division with my ...er... beginner friend and not have a fail division.

As others pointed out there is a number of premiums you can win, so that number can be deceptive.

I bought the yubari to get into the CBT and I'm still sitting on 550 of the 1200 dubloons that came with it. I might buy more dubloons if I run out but probably won't spend any more.

I know some people seems to hate it, but I LOVE my Atlanta. It's literally a submachine gun of shells. And my Arkansas, is just there as I never really use it but like the look of it for some reason.

My $50 Atago gets used more often than my $60 fishing pole.

 

I'm an adult with a job and enjoy this hobby.  Even if I spend a couple thousand bucks a year on gaming (hardware, software)  and a couple hundred on Warships over the course of a year then it's still a pretty cheap hobby compared to many others I enjoy doing but do less often.

Gotten everything other than To Yang up to this point, used to have 30+ ships but sold a lot for creds. The cred grind is getting old...

Bout the only ship I wanted was the Kitakami, although considering current US CV loadouts I wouldn't mind having the Saipan. Only premium ships I have right now are the free ones.

Umm, let's see.  On my personal NA account (I have an EU and Press Account too), I have 46 port slots and 45 ships in my harbour, but that's including the 4 bathtub boats.  So I guess 42 slots normally with 41 ships.  I have 23 premium ships (it's easier to list the ones I don't have -- Diana, Mikasa, Anshan & Iwaki Alpha).

thanks for all the responses.  this has been interesting.  if anyone was wondering why I asked, I am like some have said - adult gamer, parent, professional...growing up in the 80-90's, spending this sort of money on a game would have been hard to fathom back then, even adjusting for inflation.  I'd estimate I've spent close to a couple hundred since I've joined.   I have 42 ships in port including the bath toys.  Of those, I've paid for Murmansk, Atlanta, Aurora, and Anshan.  I was gifted Emden (and rarely enjoy playing in it.)   I enjoy the crap out of this game though, so like it's been said, I find this gaming cost situation to be tolerable.  Some peeps golf or play tennis.  I prefer owning a fancy-ish PC and using it to shoot ships when I'm not being an IT worker bee, husband, and dad to two little up and coming gamers who love Minecraft.

I don't smoke or drink and I'm too old to chase women,so gaming is where I spend my entertainment money. If you go to the movies, say with a date you would probably spend $50 to $75 bucks. A carton of smokes must be $35 bucks. I would feel alright with spending $25 bucks a month on my gaming entertainment.

Yeah I agree the credit grind is the only thing about WoWS that I really dislike. I don't mind grinding but I have 3 tier 8 ships unlocked and no where near the credits to buy one. It is far far easier right now to get xp than it is credits.

The mere fact you want to learn and get better tells me, just give it time and you will get better. A true desire to get better is far and away the most important thing.

this was about the time I started coughing up money.  Tiers 1-6 I did the hard way.  Then I realized there was (arguably) somewhat of a paywall on T7+.

I've spent about $25 in total. If you look at the bigger picture though, I've saved money playing this game because I haven't been putting money out to buy as many games as I would have if I didn't play this.

When you put 0 as an option, you should delete the " This game isn't worth spending money to me so far. " part cause there may be other reasons not to spend money for many people.
