Assuming the new background music when at port is not some joke and might be around for a bit is there anyway to turn it off?  I can lower the volume but I don't want to reduce the volume of other ambient sounds?  My apologies if I offended any developer responsible for the new sounds.

Why would want to do that, the beat is awesome!

Go in the settings, volume, you can lower the music volume to your likings.

The music isn't awful at all. It's pretty awesome and I'm glad they are rotating background music in and out.

It's subjective of course.  Different strokes for different folks.  :honoring:

I did not even know there was music in port or I likely forgot.  First thing I do is turn the music down/off.

The polka crap has to go. I don't care if WG is doing it because of the new Russian cruiser line, its terrible and does not belong at all. Turning down or off the music is NOT the proper way to fix this. Some of us actually listen to the music while in battle. Having to turn off a function because someone made a very poor decision is not the way things should be done.  I expected better things from the devs. This is just one of many recent changes that have impacted the game negatively.  I'm not so sure how i feel about a dev team willing to bastardize one of its best games on a whim of bad joke and or poor decision making skills. You're either going to make a serious game or you aren't. You don't take a game like this and just keep screwing with it. Not all your players are awkward teenagers with cartoon fetishes, absurdly bad taste in music and mundane senses of humor.

I think that it has to do with april's fool day. In the video they posted, fish tries to hide a sailboat at the end of the video and now we have some "pirate like" music in the title screen...

It's the old "It's not broken, but we are going to fix it anyway" mentality.

Seems to affect some software developers (applications as well as games) more than others.

Maybe in Russia unless your quota of "fixes" meets a certain number each month then you run the risk of seeing the sunny Arctic Circle for a spell.
