Just increase the amount of exp for shooting down planes! 

Is that too hard to do?

 

It would fix every problem with CVs.

 

IJN CVs could have the damage potential advantage

US CVs could have the Air superiority advantage

 

But both would do the same amount of exp

 

I can't think of any scenario where this would not work

do away with 'national flavor'. Just have the planes and squadron numbers be the difference.

But if you have AS that means you can negate the damage advantage for the IJN

 

More planes > Damage

 

even if you try you can't destroy every planes 

 

2 or 3 fighter squads can't stop 5 or 6 DBs/TBs

I saw 5 TB/DB gone in one strife by 1 fighter squad

 

Your ideea ok but not practical in an way or other

Only an idiot would put all his planes in the same pack

 

it can easily be avoided if you spread your planes around

I agree that planes being shot down should reward more XP but I don't think it would "fix" CVs or anything.  It'd just encourage more teamwork cruiser skills instead of DE which is what cruisers typically take.

From all my 3000 + games i can tell you that 90% of the CVs put their planes in one spot

I do agree that shooting down planes should get xp ... and if it is getting xp getting a lot more xp and credits.

 

But that doesn't fix CV and even if it did that totally puts people into a corner where if you want to do strike then you HAVE to pick IJN and if you want AS then you HAVE to pick US... that's just stupid.

 

we need a way for each nation to be able to do what ever the player wants to do and it feel fun and rewarding for all play styles with it still being fair to each nation.

 

I am not saying I know how to do it I am just stating my opinions.

This just changes which strategy/ship happens to be OP in the current meta.

 

CVs will not be fixed without a complete rework of the class.

You should choose a ship based on it's playstyle 

 

Take WoT as an exemple, almost every tier 10 is different. If you want a certain playstyle, you choose a certain line of tanks

 

what is the point in grinding different nations if they all play the same? That would be boring as hell

 

They managed to make all the tier 10 cruisers play differently, why not do the same for carriers?

The Yamato vs Montana thing is an issue that needs to be fixed too. They could easily fix it but they don't even try

If you look at the other classes at tier 10 they are pretty much balanced (Des Moines could use a buff but other than that it is fine)

You can make shooting down planes more rewarding, but that won't change the fact that AS loadouts are simply less impactful on the game and much much harder to carry with.
