Hi , I just started playing this game and still have sooooo much to learn !

I will learn as fast as can , but I need 1 question answered !

I'm see a ship........ then it disappears....... then a moment later , it reappears  later in a different spot ?

[this happened 2 times already in 3 days of playing here]  Is this normal  ?

Ships have spotting ranges and/or the ship was moving as it was laying a smoke screen (which can block it from your view).

Yes. It's the range at which your ship detects another ship. Quite honestly I'm not up to par with the numbers nor process, but you have to be in a certain range to detect a ship. Depending on the other ships detection, it rolls along with your ship detection, and sometimes you don't even see the enemy ship until it's too late.

Regardless, I'm not good on the math part of this. I can, however, assure you it's quite normal.

DD's are stealth machines, especially at low tiers. Spotting mechanics mean if you see something it exists visually if they go behind and island or smoke up they disappear.

Or you are seeing different players in the same ship.

It's supposed to happen

Ships that are outside of detection range will disappear.

May want to read up on some of the guides like this one.

WHY...you people fall for the invisible ship trick and call it normal, it is not! If that ship is 3km from me and them to you and it disappears 'JUST' as my volley is about to blow a hole through them, its gone and move away. Humm....LoS, fog, smoke, island got in the way, you might think so, its a computer, so it must be right and correct?

Good people tell you that's right; that its normal? Does that create fair game play? Please use your brains and not smoke and mirrors...use your brains. There are good reasons to play but game physic isn't one. I feel its another reason why the player population is quite small; your personal efforts are not meet with much success and many people will not continue to play without reward.

I had the same thing happen to me.  I was zoomed all the way in on a ship and it would disappear and reappear seemingly at random.  After zooming back out a bit, I saw the smoke screen that was hiding the ship.  For some reason when zoomed in, the smoke was hidden along with the ship.

On the topic of vanishing warships, someone already tried to make a ship "invisible" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Experiment

People will always guess if they don't have the replay to view. As well, people will claim things happened in a way that didn't actually happen, because they were busy playing, and failed to notice something they swore up and down wasn't a factor.

For example, even if you didn't post it for others to analyse, watching your own replay can make things apparent that weren't originally.
