Attention CV snipers

Many of you cry when CV players go full fighter loud out.  The reason is because you CV snipe every match.

 

It is no fun to go CV vs CV every match.  Even if you sink the CV sniper first, it's very dull and boring gameplay.  I have gone to fighter load out and will be running 3/0/2 with fully upgraded fighter mods in order to drive you enemy CVs crazy with your strike loads and fellow BB, CL, DD captains I'll keep your skies clear for you.  Rendering the enemy CV literally COMPLETELY useless.

 

Again, CV snipers don't be mad at us, you did this to yourself.

Your damage numbers will go massively down without TBs, you won't always be able to shut down the enemy bombers that effectively... but if that's how you want to play the game from now on, have fun Amphi. CVs can't win the game on their own and I'm sure some of your teams will manage even with reduced damage coming from your airplanes

Er... Who's crying? I get my planes ripped up by Bogues when I want to do something in my Zuiho, and the Zuiho doesn't get a fighter load out.

The only crying I've seen is from the BB that cries because the CV has a strike load out or has his fighters elsewhere, or if he's a Japanese carrier, his fighters are burning wrecks. Basically the BB blames the carrier for not protecting him, before moving on to rage at the half dead cruiser.

USN CV's can still do damage with divebombers alone.  though my approach to the CV sniping issue would be to just go AA specc even if it means sacrificing servicing time. in the long run staying alive is much more useful .

I run AA spec but when facing endless squads of IJN or smart CV players who strike and then Camp a squad nearby waiting till you repair, it doesn't matter.

It happens more than you realize, nearly every game.  I can't check your profile in my phone, but I would guess you don't play high tier CV?  How do you bring up DDs?

I love how this games makes us hate every other ship type.. as if every person only plays one ship type.

When I sail in my T8 ships, In about 50% of the matches I get with USN CVs, all the Lexington/Essex/Midway wants to do is CV snipe.

It's so common, that when I sail in Kutuzov, I actually guard the CV(s), which is lowering my average damage. :v

 

It's definitely not common in T4/5/6/7, because the USN bombers lack the punch, but T8+ is CV snipe fest.

IN PARTICULAR, I notice that CV captains with POOR WIN RATES are more likely to do this.

That anime post from way back when doesn't come to mind? Or the one about cowardly cruisers? I don't believe that replies count as much as an original post, since you have to be relevant to a certain topic when replying.

Let's just put all these cv arguments to rest. Even as far the 18th century this was widely recognized as a silly mechanic.

I think its odd that as a CV, doing damage to the enemy team is applauded, but preventing the enemy CV from damaging your own ships is considered crap tier gameplay.

edit - actually it's pretty obvious. By going AS and wrecking enemy bombers and protecting your ships, you're preventing the other guy from farming damage/credits/XP, so of course he is going to cry foul.  Pathetic really.

honestly going AA spec and leaving a cap nearby should pretty much remove the issue of CV sniping unless your in a 2v2 high tiered match in which case it can be difficult to survive without cruiser escort but i find those instances to be somewhat rare now..

Anime vs realism:Let's Compramise? Did you view that as Complaining about anime in the game or a discussion about balancing in game themes in general? If I have discussed any BB topics which I do often, it is probably about bralwers style BB play and probably discussing improvements needed to be made for certain ships.

 

When you read a topic or post defensively, I guess you think it's a complaint instead of an idea or opinion.

Perhaps I was wrong about the cruisers one? I'm sure you posted in one like that, or you did post it.

Also, I tried to be reasonable in Anime and Realism: Let' s Cpmpromise. However, it was difficult to be completely against the anime, since none of the historical accuracy complaints were too reasonable. Not saying you, but in general. I'm going to find that thread and look through it again.

I play CV and BB, I discuss CV and BB gameplay.  Whether you view it as a Co plaintiff or opinion ion, it doesn't matter to me. Forum is for discussion on ANY game topic.  I do that.  As far as cruisers and DD are concerned I play them, but honestly don't care enough about them to talk about them.

 

I recently made a reply in a thread talking about BB secondaries and how most DD Can sit  evidence a BB under 7k range and stay there long periods of time.  If you view that as Complaining DD's are OP then I reckon you misread every post on these forums.
