Just joking.  However....

Played a game yesterday when that's exactly what happened.  First sortie of the game.  At start of game, I usually play aaa interference (position myself along air strike attack vectors).  Most CV captains send their planes around me or retreat looking for easier targets or approaches.  At first, I thought this captain was going over me for some BBs behind, then it occurred to me he was attacking me!  Two torpedo squadrons and two bomber in a semi-coordinated attack.  I put my gun crews on high alert, managed to dodge everything, and shot down eleven planes.

So...bring it on CV captains.  Bring it on.  The earlier in the game, the better.

Am thinking that is a mistake he wont be repeating. But if he insists, then by all means

Atlanta is dangerous, but Kutuzov is worse.

CV captains generally avoid my Cleveland as well. However, when they don't, it is just so much fun!

Even better when you get them unaware and get a devastating strike on those cleveland/Atlanta. Vengance.

Also those kutuzov that smoke to avoid the torpedo drop can go to hell :izmena:

It would be nice to see at the enqueue of the game we didnt see the list of detailed enemy forces.

So when the session begins, we would have to report our findings to our team what kind of ships we are matched against.

In fact, the overall session is full of information overload and removes the 'Fog of War' concept.

War games should be written with a minimum of information given to the player.

I know who you are.

I know where you are.

I know where you're headed.

I know who you'll be attacking. (in a given perimeter)...unless your vector shows me you're on course for capping.

What I don't know is your speed....critical for estimating shot placement (surprised this isnt given to the player)

I know your tier.

I dont know your skill sets.

I think it would bring an entire new world of fun and excitement to sail a general course only to discover you're facing a more interesting threat than first perceived on the map.

I saw an Atlanta yesterday dying to a Ryujo strike.  Granted he burned down a minute later, but most of the Ryujo's planes went home.  I was surprised.

I do this regularly in my CVs at the start of a game. I take out the best AA on your team first. That way your not in my way later.

I did this in a game yesterdsy, took out a ship but then got sniper by enemy CV lol
