The player base.

I see so many posts blaming WG for this and that but to me i think what is hurting the game the most is the player base itself. Every class complaining about every other class of ship. Players blaming WG for their loses instead of looking at themselves. Screaming about this cheat and that cheat is the reason they are getting killed. In game chat has become WoT chat filled with rage blaming others instead of hmm i wonder why i died 2 minutes into the game, what did i do wrong.... and this results in players turning off or ignoring chat which makes game team communication even worse.

The worst part is the player base is fighting among themselves instead of working together to make the game better. So many ask why doesn't WG listen to what we say in the forums. The answer is right in front of you LOOK at the forums and the posts full of rage blaming this and that, attacking WG even though game stats do not back the player up...ect. I look at the forums and have to shake my head at 80% of the posts in here. You can bet WG staff is doing the same thing when they look at it.

I am sure this post will not make some happy, but to me it is the truth. I saw WoT go down this path and it was not pretty at all.

You assume that NA has any way to actually impact this games development.

Players here "banding together to make the game better" isn't going to change anything at all, all they care about are the EU and RU clusters. People can do whatever they want ingame on NA, and say whatever they want on the NA forums. It doesn't matter in the slightest.

It would be very nice to see a more positive and responsible attitude both here and on the NA server. :honoring:

It's been my experience that you can't fight the trolls.  That's kind of what they want actually.  I usually just try to set a good example.  Diffuse situations where possible as opposed to reprimanding and such.  Sometimes you can kind of come at them earnestly and sarcastically both at the same time and then they're not really sure how to respond.  The main thing though is that you can't really feed them.  Get in and get out.  Play their game and you're bound to lose.

/not saying the problem here is trolls specifically but rather the general gaming community flame war mentality

The problems from what I understand IS wargaming's fault, listen to the alpha players and you'll have a better time, from what I understand, they didn't.

Just as a question but I've noticed that there is an are where certain topics get pinned in the  general news forum. Dose anyone think it would be possible to get a post pinned where experienced players could set up times to division with newer players to teach them the ropes?  Essentially a designated forum topic for new players to go to request to division with more experienced players and get help learning to play.

something like the looking for a division tab in game but on the forums.

another suggestion would be something similar but directed towards each class of ship.

sorry if this is a bit off topic.

This is so correct~! Very much the issue here, we need to work together to make the game ever, instead of fighting among ourselves~! +1 +1 +1!

We need to do whats best, and try to stop fighting, so that Wargaming may actually consider listening to us~!

Well they did listen to a lot of what the alpha and closed beta testers wanted and now you have players complaining about what you all wanted like the ocean map......

You assume that NA has any way to actually impact this games development.

The main reason WG does not listen to the NA server is just what the OP posted. Other reason is more than half the server have no idea what they are doing and are just bad at the game. So they fight among themselves putting the blame on everyone else.

NA is severely understaffed, with a whopping 11 vacancies open for application (Emeryville, in California.)

https://wargaming.com/en/careers/vacancies/#363

Makes me wonder why those blank spots don't feel in easily? I'm guessing a Wargaming position isn't as wanted anymore by the community or people interested in such roles?

What hurts this game the most is allowing 15 point seal-clubbing Captains into T3 games with the newbies.

I agree with this, I don't know how many times I've seen players in chat say that grouping everyone together for maximum firepower is a great idea.  Or players thinking that everyone rushing for a single cap zone in a multi zone cap match is the way to win it.

Honestly, I would bother trying to apply IF it was either work from home or if I was living in California. However my wife refuses to live in California or close to it, so I can't apply- though I would like to

This is not entirely true anymore. Supposedly, the newbies playing tiers 1-3 are in their own matchmaker, population permitting. The real seals pop out at tier 4. If you have a 15 point captain, chances are you'll be playing with the "more experienced" people in tier 3 and below.

Ever been to Emeryville?

It's... Not on anyone's bucket list. Housing is cheapish though, but you might want to buy a gun.

Austin doh....

WG should just move the entire shop to Central Texas.

well for me the fun isn't winning or losing but rather playing as a team and willing to share hp and/or take a hit for a teammate. This was really lacking in wot. In addition to playing over 35k games in wot, I've also been playing on-line games for a while and have never seen so much bad play. I was considering running for office to introduce the Fair Act Gaming Law (FAGEL) which would incarcerate gaming bads to community service for the greater good.
