Anyone know what could cause this to happen?

I had two players on my team (Tossed in some bogus capital letters to hide their identity, but basically it's the same name, one with underscores between the words):

 

cXXXXXnjYYkhZZZZr

cXXXXXn_jYYk_hZZZZr

 

Because they were in a division, I always take the lovely extended shore leave WG provides us (60 second wait time) and look up the stats in the worldofwarships.com player tab of top tier ships and those in a division to see who can I rely on and who I can't.

 

Yet when I look these two players up, they both show up in the autocomplete list as bolded as if they are active players but when you run the search, you get nothing.  If they were keeping their stats hidden, you'd see those infinity symbols so it has to be something else.

 

Anyone know what could cause them not to appear in the database?

 

I'm simply curious what possible scenarios could cause this.  Maybe a recent name change and the server hasn't yet tied their stats together?  They were both playing New Mexico's so I can't imagine they were brand new accounts.

 

I asked them at the beginning of the match why they weren't showing up in the database and they ignored me.  When I pressed the issue, he (or they if he's not dual boxing but in fact two people) got defensive and started calling names and tried to deflect which made it pretty apparent he/they knew the answer and didn't want to explain, meaning most likely it's not a positive reason.  After all if it's benign, why not be open about it right?

This isn't "name and shame", just post the names if you want help figuring it out.  It's probably a mistaken letter.

Did you report the players or report cuz their names were posted ? I am kind of interested in finding out why the text came out that way also... so putting their names up i find to be fine..

yUPPatriots is just trying to make a 'funny'.  He struck out, but that's ok.  When you overhear people boasting in the lift line at the ski resort about not falling down even once, you know who hasn't pushed themselves enough to improve their abilities.  I have faith that yUPPatriots will eventually get a little wood on the ball.
