To reply to the question, who can stop the ship? Anyone who can hit it... lol Ya, if you stay at range, which you should, you can do well. If you use other ships as shields, you can do well. Other than that, well, the ship is quiet literally a glass cannon. Yes it has large turrets, but the armor on it is 13-50mm, so you can't even angle a fart without losing health. lol

 

EDIT: Not discrediting the Kraken though. Honestly, congrats on that!

Have her unlocked with all the modules researched and grinding credits to buy her, she looks fun. Feast or Famine, I'm good with that.

very fragile for sure and turns like a tub.  feast or famine for sure. 2 matchs so far and one, I got citted while angled by 14" guns  at 10+km.    second, I did pretty well, so   at average now

Do the shells get any better when you get the B hull? I am enjoying the ship so far, but I find the AP shells don't penetrate as well as I expected, or really as well as I need them to. I'm a bit disappointed so far. For the quintessential Glass Cannon ship that this is, it is very glass, but I'm not getting the full cannon really. The range is great, the RoF is pretty nice and the turrets rotate well, but I feel like I could do better in the Marblehead, Omaha or Murmansk. I get better AP results with those 152mm guns than I am getting with these 180mms.

To be fair i dont know , free xp the first hull and after the first game i upgraded the whole ship with the xp that i got

I like the ship. it dose well even in t7 games and it can shoot down t7 planes but like you said , Glass Cannon and it can get citadeld trought the bow

Been bouncing a lot on BBs too aiming above their armored belts and into that super structures and decks at range. Stuff where I pen with Marblehead AP, Kirov has been letting me down. I have 9 games , 7 full upgraded

 

For me didn't bounce , evey ap shot did damage even on T7 ships. at range it bounces a lot but under 10km i get 2-4 cits per volley

An yes , HE is devastating vs any other ship .

 

The russian line is a fire hose, at least till tier 9

Yep , trying to get close to ships because at range just HE dose damage  because AP bounces and with the slow reload time they can dodge and shoot me back most of the T5 T6 cruisers

 

So , get close on them and unload with ap or spam HE at max range

 

But this is YOLoing cause this ship has almost no armor and a Omaha can pen you trought the bow

This ship is plain awful, I don't know how else to put this. I get citadelled at any and all angle, at least once every game. The guns are underwhelming, AP in particular doesnt seem to pen correctly as mentioned above. The only thing it has going for it is its DD-like speed, which im quite enjoying, but only sends me away to my death quicker.

 

I foresee a buff in future patches.

Personally, I like Konigsberg better, because that will only eat penetrations, instead of citadel hits, when angled.

That and K-berg is more agile.

Man I love Kirov so far. I've only got 5 games in it but averaging 71k damage per match. I did free XP all of the modules though. She's fragile, but man can she dish a hurtin with AP at 10km. Maybe I've just had some good luck with her so far.

team could have won but our last guy was a noob that said he didn't want to enter their cap because the only enemy remaining was their CV and he could torp him there...... #logic

This is the ship I've been instantly deleted in the most from full health, through the bow, through the stream, angled doesn't seem to mater.

 

I just didn't like it, my biggest problem was I couldn't be aggressive when needed - it just evaporates underneath you.  I had a really hard time just hanging back doing damage, very frustration for an aggressive player.

 

Everything I didn't like about the Kirov is what I love about the Budyonny - which is officially my favorite T6 ship now - she's a keeper.

It's pretty easy to citadel , Some DDs have more armor then Kirov

I saw a Omaha citadel a Kirov trought the bow

And the German ships have OP AP from any distance

 

But if nobody shoots at you it's OK

Nurberg is love but i get 90% of the time t8 games and stopped playing the ship

 

Nurnberg for me is the best T6 ship ,with that small guns he can cit battleships and do massive damage

 

5k from the t6 Ru cruisers but i can't spare any money to buy it

80k from the Hindenburg

To be fair , This is comming from a 70% cruiser player.

 

The RU cruisers suck , glass cannons, they can't take a hit

You get shoot at once and you lose most of your HP

 

German line way better but 2 problems , at least for me

Ok Karl sucks , gun suck , arc suck , ship sucks

Hipper it's hit or miss, somewhat like the Kirov, if nobody shoot at you ,you're ok but if you get shoot once you lose most of your HP

 

I know that felling , potato will potate if that's a word
