South Carolina Replay File Name

Has anyone else who has replay enabled ever noticed that the South Carolina BB is named Michigan on the file name? I played a Co-Op game in it to offer advice to new players and it happened to be my first game after I enabled replays. I was going through and deleting them when I noticed that it was the only one with an odd name. After a quick google search I found that the USS Michigan BB-27 was a South Carolina class ship. Was it called the Michigan in Alpha or does it have a particular model after the Michigan that makes it unique against other South Carolina class ships? Just seems odd that it is the only ship not named after its in game name.

Same reason Shokaku is named Zuikaku in the game files, a blast from the past.

So it was called Michigan in CBT? It definitely looks more like the Michigan in game than the SC. It has the crane in the Michigan's spot, along with the same crow's nests/smoke stacks.

It's always debated on how to call the South Carolina class.  Some people say Michigan should be the name because she was laid down, built, and commissioned first.

Huh, you learn something new every day. I would definitely call the one in game Michigan. It also makes North Carolina seem slightly more unique and I think it earned that.
