The author (and other authors I have found of similiar posts) are definately an inspiration. All I can do is hope that I do justice to the featured ships and at the same time add some color to their stories that both a history buff and casual player can appreciate. I cannot imagine how tense that must have been. That sounds like a Hollywood movie. Thanks for sharing.

Don't be a big ol' sourpus lol If it is a trashcan, it's best to play it like oscar the grouch. Move to engage, stay at max range and don't stop to think just fire and fire and fire til your guns are knocked out or you're dead. Maybe 1 in 10 matches will be a highlight reel. I sometimes wish it had Mogami torps, the extra 2 km would be nice.
1,153 [ARGSY] centarina Members 10,326 posts 16,228 battles Report post #9 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) the thing about tashkent is that most people wants to get close and kill it. so, I will angle away and fire my torps to target coming in from 10km as I keep firing my gun. I seem to get a few hit this way. with 55knot torps because people don't realize you have torps that can hit that far, I rarely fire at target moving away.3x3 torp make it easy to get decent spread. 10km would make it OP since you have pretty quick reload. play it like a tough CL rather than DD though. that is the key to success.
