Title says at the top!  Who still plays their CV's frequently? A second question and also a follow up, who still finds it fun?

Yup. I know. This thread has potential to gather salt and flame in one thread.

Not me. I'll still play them for, like, events and stuff. But overall, I have gotten frustrated with the class.

I feel committed and will finishing leveling the Lexington, but I'm putting it away.  I feel like the only thing I'm good for is spotting destroyers.

Carriers are love, carriers are life.

On another note the planes taking off animation reminds me of this for some reason:

I would play my taiho more to finish the line out but just can't bring myself to do it. Just a lack in the carrier community for me. I feel carriers in regards to damage are in a good place now makes you plan your attack runs more carefully and watch the map more for those lone wolfs to pick off. I really wanna play it more but just too long of a que sometimes. :(

It's my least-played class, and I'm currently focusing on other classes, but I still play and still find it challenging. Up to Lexington now at last.

I would play them A LOT more IF....

1. I didnt have to play lower tier ships to supplement my high tier CV habit.

2. I didnt have to wait till there were at least 10k people on server to give me a reasonable que time.

Grinding out the last 5mill credits needed to put the all the upgrades on my spanking new Midway.

I do! I recently started using the strike loadout on the Ryūjō and I'm in love with it. It's so much more fun than the fighter loadout.

After almost 500 battles in carriers, I pretty much now only play them for my team.

I am enjoying running the strike loadout on my Ryuho, and it's gets interesting when the opposing team has no carrier.. Dodging AA fire becomes a priority.

Being that it's team play I really don't care that I don't rack up much Xp and credits.

I used to love playing them. Were my favorite class. Now I hardly touch them. Hope things change.

I'm not playing CVs at the moment primarily because I have lost interest in IJN CVs and I finished grinding out the Ranger. Saving credits to buy Lexington.

i enjoy playing cvs a lot, but i've taken a complete break from the game as I have run out of premium and am waiting for the Saipan before coming back!

I have an empty hiiryu and ranger in my port and they will probably stay that while because I aim to have 100 battles in all tier 4-6 carriers before moving onto them

I still like playing them, but I don't bring mine out much anymore. I've got the Midway and the Hakuryu. MM gets weird with tier 10 CVs and the wait time can be longer than I'm willing to wait for. I'll probably play CVs more once the Saipan comes out.

I have 3 carriers and would like the Saipan

However I hardly ever play my Lexington because of cost and lack of damage capability

I have the Hiryu and its a beast so I play that about 4 times a week, which is low.

I have as you can see quite a line of ships and try to play them, but I find the Tier 8's and above too costly.

:izmena:^^^Mah  Teammate Dere^^^ :playing:

I never play a carrier ever Only once in PT. So I will suck in them. I will buy the Saipan, because I can and because having NEVER played any CV, especially at Tier 7 thus following Wargaming's formula. Please look for me in battle to abuse me until I become a little proficient. Please don't sink me.

I play my default squadron ranger atleast once a day, and my IJN CV daily too.

I enjoy them when I feel like playing them. I enjoy how my play can easily carry a bad team, or severely hurt them if Im sucking.

I'll probably buy the Saipan just so I can have a third CV.

They're also great for completing the "kill x amount of planes quests".

I got my lex recently because of the sale, been living it except for the prevalence of the stupid AS builds.... But even then I understand why you would use an AS CV...

Whenever I see an airstrike CV I think, well... you might kill a lot of my planes... but if I get 2 torp hits all game and 1-2 bombs on a target all game.... I've still done more damage than you.... congrats though, you own the skies??? Ok lol:trollface:

I'd still consider carriers my main class, despite the constant frustration they bring me. The horribly clunky interface and RNG reliance have had me shouting at my monitor many a time. I've been mixing up what I play a bit more recently, as I'm mostly just waiting on the Saipan.

I still play mine. Also, I do not understand why CV players ever go AS, its probably the most boring class to play

I feel like doing no damage, having no fun, and barely playing the game. You know what? I feel like forcing someone else to barely play the game, too. Guess I'll go air superiority, today!

(I dislike air superiority, and feel that, barring a redesign of several key mechanics, air superiority builds should be removed from the game.)

This is the key thing lol AS is boring for both the AS CV and whatever he faces. Sure you can outplay an AS CV but its only a matter of time before he catches you.
