Simple question, do you guys use an aiming reticle mod/custom reticle or no? Do you think game mods are cheap?

Yes I use a custom reticle. I don't like the game's current reticle.

No, if you mean mods are OP. They're very helpful like battle assistant in WoT.

I use krab v1. small line. I find some of the others are bulkier and kinda obscure ship/waterline too much at long range.

I use one.  It's the futuristic looking one.

Well, you can't get any cheaper than free. :hiding: The main mods I am using now are an aiming reticle and a battle clock mod, the standard one can be stupidly hard to read.

I use the default reticle -- I've tried a couple things in Aslains way back when, but didn't like anything enough to switch to it.

It's actually quite nice on update days, since my aim doesn't go to crap when all reticle mods get broken for a short time.

Stock reticle for me.  This game isn't as concerned with weak spots as World of Tanks was (due to the dispersion), so I don't need a precision marker to aim with.  I also don't enjoy waiting for my preferred reticle to get updated every patch if I use a mod, and want to stay familiar with the stock UI in case this game ever gets any competitive tournaments that don't allow mods.

Purely vanilla client because I stream and I don't want there to be any question about my performance. Nothing that could possibly be viewed by someone as an unfair advantage.

I use the krab v1, but I'm not really sure why... I never use the marker to actually aim, I kinda just wing it. Guess it looks pretty, though.

i use the scalable crosshair from aslains so that the crosshair actually covers the full width of the screen at 1440 resolution. otherwise it would be about half the screen...

mods arent cheap. the aim assist was when it was around, eye of sauron too. other mods are mainly cosmetic.

being relatively new and loving aslains in WoT I started playing with fancy crosshairs immediatley

after watching lots of videos by ichase and flamu, and watching their aim, I realized the stock crosshair (or maybe the extending one, that just extends the horizontal  line ) is sufficient, and that it seems to be almost 100% just practice/experience.

Yeah I use the stock crosshair, I find that what I really need is a longer line... ish, but playing battleships I don't need this because our shell travel time is pretty good...

I have tried custom reticle, I don't like any of them, they actually distract me and make my aim worse.

As for other mods, I rely on the hit log, transparent mini map, region switcher, and while I don't need it, I prefer having the mini map mod for the detection circles. It makes me have to recall my range where I get spotted a lot less

Too much fluff and other crap on the screen when using mod reticles.  Default only.

I'm playing at 3440 x 1440 on a 34" monitor.  I'm using a modded reticle that is the stock one, but wider.  The vanilla one is just too small on my screen.

I use the "Napplecommander" crosshair mod from Aslains' installer. It is wider and has better visibility than the stock crosshair.
