Novik question.

  It's been a long time since I researched a tier II ship.  Anyone have a ball park figure on the xp cost to research this one?

 

 I'd like to gather enough xp on Orlan tonight so I can buy it first thing tomorrow.  I would also like to work on other things, so would rather not play a gazillion games in it- just to make sure.  (NY is within a few thousand xp of getting AFT for example)

Can't be anything too much higher than the exp required to research the tier II destroyer, you should only need to play one battle, perhaps two or three to be safe.

 

Some more info; I've played one battle with the Orlan, and that got me to tier II, as well as three battles with the Hashidate and Erie (most of those were when I was with a new player), so yeah, no need to worry about grinding.

if you have some free xp you should be just fine. one of the testers said that the ship is decent. can't wait to give her try myself.

Having watched their video today, Novik looks decent- like it may be a fun one.   Looks like AFT will work on several of these, too!

 

I have plenty of free xp, I just dislike using them to buy ships- I'd rather save them for modules!  I had a bunch of xp on Orlan, but got trigger happy when converting, lol.  I have just over 2k on it now, from a couple of lunchtime matches- I definitely like these lil gunboats.

 

  Anyone ever find themselves hitting 3 and wondering why the torp aimer doesn't come up, lol?  It feels like a DD with how twitchy it is!

aft works on russian cruisers in the main line from t1 orlan to t4 svetlana, and also works on the premium profintern who is svetlana too

 

but then, aft also works on hashidate, erie, chester, hermelein, drezden/emden and kolberg (for the german t2-t3 it makes very little sense though)

About 800 XP, if the Chester doesn't lie! I have about 7800XP stored up.. I started saving more than half a week ago.

probably similar to the other tier 2 ships. If your that worried it might be some ungodly huge amount then your either really really drunk or just plain silly. i'd wager 450xp 60k silver..the middle ground of the bunch.

 

While on the topic of new Russian ships what I'm eyeballing is that Kirov...T5 with the 180mm guns; 7 inch shells down at T5 with Myoko grade accuracy its going to piss off the Pensacola and New Orleans sailors something fierce that a T5 ship has as much firepower as they do just 3 tiers lower than they are with accuracy on par with the Myoko. I can hear the yells and screams now; "OP PLZ NERF NAO!!!!11" or "COLA N ORLEANS BUFF NAO!!!!!11" with multiple whine threads and polls going up about how its unfair planes..they kemp bush etc etc.

I'm not "worried" about anything!  Just asking is all, because I dumped all my ship xp into free the other day, and didn't want to free xp into it.  (or spend any time playing Orlan today- I wanna play a new ship, dangit! lol)

 

  Hmm- it's been so long since I bought Erie or Chester, I forgot they HAD smaller guns stock...  I vaguely remember playing one Chester game stock, saying screw this! and upgrading- never to look back.
