OK, I looked at the records, and it said that IJN bombs had a 1% chance of fire, and that T5-T7 USN bombs (Langley, Lexington, Essex and Midway have bigger/smaller bombs) have a 2% fire chance.. so, on avg., why do I get 75% fires per bomb instead of 1% (I'm using the Hiryu mostly, right now.)? I'm a little confused... :look:

Because fire chance in this game does not represent fire chance. It represents a value that goes into an equation, which determines if you get lit on fire.

Given hearsay about people being detonated with the flag, I suspect detonations are the same. As well as every other listed %chance in the game.

Evidently, dive bombers use a different equation than shells.

Because the interface is full of lies. I think that it isn't designed to show values greater than 100%, and screws up when it tries. IJN bomb has 123% fire chance, USN small has 120%, medium 156%, large 198%. Ships have fire resistance that drops this somewhat, so at tier VII ~75% fire chance seems about right.
