In real life, it's mostly a perception thing where people notice the problems more than the things that go right. In game development, murphy's law is meant to be taken 100% literally. Everything will go wrong. Period. You will miss your deadline and things will get broken at the last moment. Just hope that what goes wrong doesn't kill all of your progress.
