61 The_Moe Members 630 posts 2,852 battles Report post #1 Posted February 19, 2016 I've had a lot of fun playing co-op lately, and do end up making 70-130k with my Atago per game. When work is demanding, co-op is the play of choice due to the lower stress levels I experience. I did not buy the Anshan, primarily because of the approximately 1 km or so distance between torp and detection range. I also earned the Kamikaze R, which was pretty similar as far as torpedoes go. Yes, I know the Anshan is a gunship first, but that's not my favorite kind of play. I like sneaking and torping over shooting when it comes to DDs. The Lo Yang is coming to the premium shop soon, and I'm thinking of getting that one and taking it into co-op. With the concealment mod + camo, I've calculated 2+ km between detection distance and torpedo range. It also has guns, which can be fun if firing from smoke. I do have the Blyskawica and end up doing OK with that in Co-op. It only has .5 km between detection range and torp range, but I don't lose money on it. I don't make as much as I do in the Atago, but it's OK to play and does get me experience for other ships and upgrades. I've watched many Lo Yang videos and have read as many reviews as I can find, but I'm still a bit on the fence. I do tend to like the Russian guns with the flatter trajectory. Hmm. I know the Lo-Yang is basically a Benson, with the exception of the long-range torpedoes packing a bit less of a punch. So why don't I just grind for a Benson and save the $$? Well, premium ships can still make some decent credits at Tier VIII, and normal ships at tier VII don't do so hot. I still like to earn some credits. I'm going to purchase the Tirpitz and the Warspite the next time either of them come up. BB play is my favorite, but when I want stress-free co-op play, I'm up a creek because I only have one premium BB at the moment, and I'd like to have more premium ships or ships with premium camo. Once the 1.5 or 2x bonus is used up in the first win, the XP earning in co-op is pretty bad. I know there are some camos available for tier VIII ships, but I don't have any of them other than the Atago. I do like ranked play, and do plan to make it into the levels that require a Tier VIII ship. So maybe the Lo Yang would be an option there? And i suppose you know how well known the benson is in ranked, so even if you bought it only for ranked it would still be worth it. And the good point is that you can keep the lo yang. And i suppose you know how well known the benson is in ranked, so even if you bought it only for ranked it would still be worth it. And the good point is that you can keep the lo yang. Some of my most exciting games have been in co-op where I'm the only human player. If all the bots are equal, then I'm the one deciding if we win or lose. My hair stylist from the 80's will be retiring soon, and I don't quite know what to do? I could cut it off and sell my hair to pay for the Lo Yang. I searched a bit but couldn't find a proof that she will have the +100 free xp bonus. There was a report in one of the WoT blogs that SerB is replaced by one of the original WoT devs and that one is against bundles. The last few ships came in a no fluff bundles. I am using coop to learn destroyer skills, and will start to do occasional PvP. My main trust remains on battleships and going up their trees. So I may probably want to see this. The Anshan is worth getting and probably the better and the cheaper of the two destroyers. Tier 6 is considered the top credit crunching tier besides.
