I use to have a 17.6 range on my guns. I thought it was a Captain  point setting but now all I get is 14.6 after the new upgrade.

Can someone please explain this why I don't have 17.6 anymore?

Thank you

skills were re-balanced and dont work for CLs anymore. really they were put back to how they were originally intended and only help DDs and secondary guns.

Go read the captain skills for AFT and BFT.

They don't apply to main guns larger than 139mm.

Edit: Fix'd. Teaches me to make posts without doublechecking the numbers.

AFT was no longer effects primary armament over 137mm.  AFT was inflating CLs range that is no longer a thing.

So they are trying to make the Cleveland more "realistic"....did the guns really fire over the rainbow in life, or did they have a much flatter trajectory?

In game angle of fall mirrors IRL angle of fall (24 degrees at 14.5 km). It just looks as if its falling at steep angles because of viewer's perspective.

I went up against a long range cleve a week ago with my maxed out non AFT cleve. I could not touch him. It was great for the red team on that side,  that day.

Thank you all and I just wastes some Captain points..

It. is. a, good. bet.

To assume that some skills have been tweaked if you saw your skills got reset....which mean reading closely at the skills or checking out information on them before picking them!

Totally screwed my St. Louis. With the skill it's range was 12.4 Km which allowed it to be competitive in tier V matches, at 10 Km it's just a slow moving target. And my Cleveland, once a joy, is now just a complete grind. Another harbor queen.

Coupled with the BB rudder nerf a couple of patches ago this game is becoming progressively less fun to play... I only play my Iowa once a day or so now,

I just feel so dirty playing DD's, they are even more O/P than before. Even with my lousy keyboarding skills I'm able to claim the top 1 or 2 spots in games with my Minekaze or Kamikaze R on a consistent basis.

And CV's are just a different game entirely. Well out of my keyboarding skills and just a different look and feel of a game.

You should attempt to play destroyers at a higher tier than 5 before you make a blanket statement on how destroyers are OP. Once players start to realize that they can use the WASD keys to avoid dying, and your torpedoes have a minute or longer reload, you have to start thinking about what you're doing.

The arc is part of WGs attempt to shoehorn a tier 8 into a tier 6 spot.

You mean totally screwed your ability to seal club like crazy in a OP ship? Cry me a river.

People like you, with more than half a thousand (!) games in St. Louis, are one of the major reasons why WG had to nerf AFT in the first place -- they can't allow newbies to be hammered by seal clubbers with vastly better ships, that has a negative effect on the influx of players.

The 6"/47 has a relatively low velocity historically, like many USN guns. Ships couldn't see the volleys coming and turn out from under them in the real world, however.

If they were trying to make Cleveland "realistic", they would have buffed the rate of fire to 10 rounds/min, and the turret traverse to 18 seconds.
