Fighter Service time now longer?

I play a USN carrier, Independence.  Prior to 5.3, my Fighter squadron was the first to be ready (fastest to complete service) to fly.  After 5.3 both my Torpedo Bombers and Dive Bombers were ready before the Fighter squadron.  Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

 


 

Is the service time on the fighters slower?  Or is the service time on bombers faster than before?  I have no skills applied to speeding up service time of any aircraft at this time.  Before 5.3 I had selected Torpedo Armament Expertise, but that shouldn't have effected the Dive Bombers.

That seems to be the case for American CVs. I play both the Ranger and the Hiryu and it takes longer for the Fighters on the Ranger to initially takeoff compared to the Hiryu but once the game gets going they seem to go back to the pre-patch loading times. Do you have the Aircraft Service Captain Skill?

As mentioned in the original post, I do not currently have any skill on my captain that could do anything to the service time of any of the aircraft.  Neither before nor after the patch was any skill applicable to fighter aircraft.

 

 

 

After further testing I have found that my Fighter squadron now takes 40 seconds of service time both at start of battle and for every subsequent return to the CV.  Bombers of both types take 30 seconds.  Before 5.3 the Fighters were faster in service time.  Therefore this is a stealth, unpublished, nerf of better than 10 seconds, more on par with 15 seconds added to the Fighter service time.  This is a very large change and significantly lowers the ability of the USN Fighter ability.

 

 

Observation of the top tier, i.e. tier X Midway, shows changes have been made to the speeds of all aircraft as well.  They didn't even have the courage to list these items in the disclosure.  Nor did they have the decency to discuss why.

Any indication if its mirrored on the IJN side?
 

If it affects all carriers then, aside from the usual bug brought on by WG's piss-poor coding and effectively non-existent testing, the only reason that seems logical would be some attempt to give strike aircraft a tiny window of opportunity to get away before the fighters make a beeline to intercept them.

 

If its only USN carriers then you've found the more likely reason why the change was made. Typical butt hurt Russians who can't stomach the fact that without nukes no one would care two bits about their third-world nation with its sinking economy.

It's worse on both sides, though IJN squads load faster because of the smaller squad size so it isn't as noticeable on them. I think it's a good change. It was ridiculous before that you could outplay your opponent and kill his fighters, then his dead squadron would be replaced and in the air long before your squadron made it back to the CV, let alone refueled and took off again.
