Team battles only from 6pm - 2am EST?

So, the team battles are only for the evening players?   The schedule says from 18:00-19:00 EST, and 19:00-02:00EST.

 

Unless there is some kind of ladder competition, or ranking, or something to do with teams that I haven't seen, this seems unnecessarily restrictive.

 

I never understand this.  If you don't follow the "average" life, where you work/school during the day, and sit around in the evening sucking your thumb, you are cut out of competitions.

They stated this mode would have a restricted time of play, and those times are the ones with the highest population of players usually. Makes sense.

WG never said it would stay in those time slots. They will have to measure the popularity and can then adjust. I expect they will open the window in time.

It has been announced and written about, and even commented in one of their intro videos for the patch, mentioning they will start that way, then study and adjust if needed. People don't read.

 

It was stated that it will be "prime time" (or at least what they consider this to be based on number of active players). I don't see a problem with that. You do not want to be in a team awaiting to get into battle forever, or always playing the same team that is in your time slot. Prime time allows for more team variety. Can't blame them for that.

Well, my personal schedule allows me to play from 10AM - 6PM EST weekdays, and maybe after 9PM.

 

Cutting me out of competition makes me much less likely to continue to spend on the game.

 

It is amusing.  Ranked is not time restricted, but the actually interesting team competitions are.

 

And as for the comments that "WG said this all along", well, some of you read every detail of every bit a marketing and pre-release noise, some of us prefer to not fill our heads with junk and stuff that changes on a daily basis.   Especially given that any opinions and comments we might have about those changes before release are going to be ignored.

The big question you need to ask yourself while you're posting this is:

WHO WOULD YOU PLAY WITH AND/OR AGAINST?

 

Quite frankly, you are asking for team battles to be active during a non peak hours based on our continents social/work/schooling structure.  I am sorry you are 'outside the norm' in your work schedule, but making it out like people are home 'sucking their thumbs' at night, because YOU AREN'T is offensive to me.  So basically you are home sucking your thumb during the day, while I'm slaving at work, and others are at school.

 

Simply, during the weekday, you are very unlikely to have teams to play against even if it was open 24/7. So, WG could change it to suit YOU, but you're still going to sit there and not have opponents because 85% of the playerbase is at work or school. So who do you blame then?  ME? For not sitting at home sucking my thumb when I'm supposed to be working?

Wow man, it wasn't every detail of every bit of pre-release noise, it was the notes from this mode, nothing more. The fact you skimmed over it and want to start in on not only WG but now the forum for responding to your post because the mode isn't catered to you or isn't agreeing with you makes me smh. As someone stated, they clearly stated it's "Prime Time". Unless you can point to a clock and show me where the hand says "Prime Time" on it, then I will consider that term a subjective one and with that, one that can and more than likely be adjusted.

 

Will it accommodate everyone? No, but they will probably try to encompass as many players as they can to ensure the highest population turnout for this mode.
