If you're going to stats shame, at least take the time to look up someone's stats before you rip them, and when you are corrected...don't be stupid and say the site is lying, like this guy.  Now my stats aren't anything to be proud of, but if someone wants to attack me, they should at least have their facts straight....especially when their stats are lower than mine.  I'm pretty sure I've seen him on the forums, so...enjoy.  This one's for you, mr stats shamer.  A real man of genius.

Should have asked for their source of stats

All the ones I am aware of show me over 54%.  Maybe he was looking at my CBT stats haha

I usually just ignore them, might as well make them waste their time throwing pointless insults at me, though humiliation is tempting, though I'm not bothered enough to attempt it.

I will use stats to support my points, but almost exclusively in response to an individual's claims.

Regardless of whether it's through stat shaming or general douchebaggery, it's not cool to be a jerkoff.

That guy gets bonus jerk points for lack of intelligence.

Pro tip: Ignore chat unless relevant to the course of battle. Let the babies cry over their sunk ships.

I take special pleasure in looking at the complainers spot in the team list at the end of the battle. they are usually dead last.

Those who look at stats and then determine that they are better than others and thus treat them like trash are the type of scum that does not belong on WoWS. There are many people on WoT that only focus on stats which, in my honest opinion, ruined the fun of the game for me. I pray Stat checking never becomes the norm, nor it shouldn't in the game

I was just bad.  It's taken me like 3k games to get to the point where I feel I'm at least carrying my own weight most times.  In this case, I was suggesting a strategy, which seems to work more often than not when people actually tried it.  This guy went crazy, and the result was in the screenshot.

Being a d-bag with stats is a great way to make your teammates play less effectively, which will eventually catch up to you in the loss of your own win rate as now you gotta cover his share that he is now disinclined to perform.

I do notice that most people who complain about their team being "full of baddies" generally have pretty horrid stats as well.  Dunning-Kruger effect much.

It's not carrying your own weight that you should be concerned with, that will not assure victory unless everyone else does. But then you run into an issue of a lack of enemies left to damage.

Yesterday I completely lost focus playing and just played like a complete tomato, yoloing left and right with my cruisers.  Somewhat unsurprisingly, the games that I lost were primarily games that I did this in.

I am very conscious of my contribution to the team and I  feel like trash when I let them down.

THE biggest reason I stopped plying Wot.  Utter stat insanity.  People with NO life.  Real certifiable players. Try to suggest something over there:

1, STFU noob you aint got the stats to make any comment in the forums.

2.  You suck. You are a f-ing srcub.  Your momma eats sh#t.

3.  I am sooooo much better than you.  Just eat sh#t and leave.  Uninstall you piece of sh#t

Anyone who played that POS for anytime knows what I am talking about.  I am NOT making this up.  Came as a shock to me at my age.

etc etc etc  And I am not exaggerating. It' just beginning here in Wow's. I hope it does not get as SICK as Wot.

Yeah, I felt it particularly hard in my IJN Kongo before I sold it. It was a 1 in 3 game experience where I would deal 80-110K damage, 2-3 kills but be left alone against 5 or 6 ships. I actually sold myself on being a bad player for not carrying games. Those wins I would get were 30-50K no kills wins

Me: Acknowledges bad stats

Guy: Abuses my bad stats

Me: Self-loathing intensifies

:(

Of course, I then proceed to beat said guy in the end results board. (Or come behind with 10-15xp or less.)

Reminds me of one guy weeks ago that said I was a horrid player in my Langley even though I pointed out I don't main CV and I did all I noticed I could. Then I looked up his stats and noticed that despite about 800 more battles, his WR and K/D ratio were a lot worse than mine, like 8% or so less and only about 1.15 to my 54% and 2.35 at the time.

I shrugged him off. He seemed just another salty player trying to make himself feel better by insulting somebody over the internet.

*points to the forums* It already is.

For some reason if you don't have a win/ loss of 50% people throw what amounts of repainted "lrn2ply"s in your face. Yet these same people can't seem to understand that win rate and damage done per match is more dependent on getting the better team than individual skill. Even the best player is going to die quickly if they head off in a DD to scout a cap while the rest of their side trains to a pointless battle at the edge, leaving them to facing off against 3 hostile DDs of the same tier plus a pair of cruisers. Heaven help the poor sod of a CA who ends up trying to lead by example and push up, due to everyone else waiting for someone to take the lead, only to find his "teammates" trailing way behind and becoming the target for every gun the other side can bring to bear.

Its the basic truth of multiplayer combat in anything outside of CS and such and even then it tends to be more true than not. No matter how good you are you will lose the match if the other side is remotely competent and yours is filled with idiots who refuse to even attempt to work together.

There's two issues with getting worked up about stats in WoWs.

1. It's a game played for fun not for stats and e-peen yadda yadda same old argument you've heard about WoT, you can make the case that stats do matter even if the game is for fun but I'm putting it out there none the less.

2. Neither the game nor the stats-analysis of WoWs are even remotely as advanced as WoT. This means there's more imbalances to exploit and that the analysis itself is more exploitable, skewing results considerably. Damage alone should make it clear that analysis will be challenged for WoWs due to the huge disparity in health pools available, especially when you consider the further leveraging of BB health pools to repair.
